"See ya tomorrow Red!" Casey shouted as he peddled down the street.

"Bye Jones!" April called after him but he was already out of sight. April sighed and opened her door. After stepping into her hallway she headed up the stairs and onto her balcony.

From there she could see hundreds of blinking lights, each one representing a normal person living there ordinary life. April let out a wishful sigh. What she would give to be normal.

"Your date not go to well then?" asked a voice behind her. She quickly turned around, unleashing her tessen only to find herself face to face with Leonardo.

"LEO!" She cried folding away her tessen "I've told you and your brothers a thousand times DON'T SNEAK UP ON ME!"

"Sorry" Leo smiled apologetically. April rolled her eyes then gazed back at the city. Leo then came so that he stood next to her and folded his arms suddenly serious.

"So what was his name?" He asked.

"Casey you mean?"

He nodded "So how old is he?"

"18"

Leo's eyes practically jumped out of his head in shock.

"WHAT! He's 18 he has got some nerve dating a girl your age"

April folded he'd arms in a not impressed manner "Leo relax. We are in the same grade. He got held back."

So now this 'Casey' was a slacker and a bad boy too. Leo couldn't take much more of this. What if he hurt April or made her do things she didn't want to do.

But when he looked into her eyes he knew that she wasn't going to back down. She would see this guy no matter what he said. She could be more stubborn then Raph at times. Plus the last thing Leo wanted was for April to be unhappy. He took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry April it's just you are like a little sister to me and I would do anything to keep you safe" he mumbled.

April's frown melted into a smile. "Thanks Leo" she took a step closer to him "You know when I was younger I always wanted a big brother well I think that now I do" then she gave him a big hug.

"Thanks April" Leo said as they released each other. "Now you've got to promise me to tell 'Casey' that if he does anything bad to you that he will have to deal with your over protective older brother"

She chuckled "Deal"

Leo kissed her on the forehead "Goodnight April"

"Goodnight Leo" she said before he disappeared into the night.
April headed back inside feeling happier then she had in a long time about not being totally normal.
