Taking Over Me
(From bit in Hannibal novel (and movie but novel characters) where Clarice is sitting in the dark, surrounded by Lecters old things in the basement of Quantico)
Clarice moving restlessly, starts playing little sad melody on piano then abruptly stand as cool guitars come in. Moves to picture of Lecter on wall.
You don't remember me but I remember you I lie awake and try so hard not to think of you But who can decide what they dream? And dream I do...
Spins angrily round only to be faced with another picture.
I believe in you (Pulls picture from wall to look closer)
I'll give up everything just to find you (uses hand with picture to sweep desk of all its paper)
I have to be with you (pulls picture close again)
-to live, to breathe, You're taking over me (Throws picture to floor, the thin image curving to the music as it goes)
Clarice walks over to pile of tapes from her interviews with him, all neatly labelled
Have you forgotten all I know And all we had? (She gazes sadly at the tapes, knocking the top ones off with her hand) You saw me mourning my love for you (looks up into distance, hands slam onto desk top) And touched my hand (Clenches one fist, looks up again , half smiling) I knew you loved me then
(turns fast and leans against desk, taking in all the stuff she's collected)
I believe in you I'll give up everything just to find you (looks almost desperate, looks down to see picture on floor still , staring up at her) I have to be with you to live to breathe You're taking over me (bends to pick up picture, as rises catches glimpse of self in mirror (gold framed piece of beauty. also Lecters)
I look in the mirror and see your face If I look deep enough (Peers at herself and a transparent image of Lecter seems to swim into view, staring sadly back at her, head on one side) So many things inside that are just like you are taking over (mirror image fades and only she is left)
(Slower music, Clarice spins to find Lecter himself there, pinning her to the wall. Singing right to his face now, hand pushing back his hair) I believe in you I'll give up everything just to find you I have to be with you to live to breathe You're taking over me (As backing singers start, Lecter fiercely pushes his lips to Starlings, met with equal fever by his lady...)
(As music fades so does her Lecter apparition and Clarice is left with a messy office and very short of breath)
##Sorry if this is TOTALLY unlikely/impossible....I tried to make my day dream real for you guys but its kinda sounds too weird/soppy ....ooooooooooh well, tell me what u think and Elizabeth..... I am not trying to invade your ground..You are the true Lecter/evanescence alliance gal!!##
