The Effects of being in Soldier

It was dark.

Very dark.

So dark, that if you looked down to see your feet, you could not.

But not for her…

If you looked close enough down the dark alley you would notice two green luminous eyes glaring, peering at you. These eyes had a strange glow, like a dim flashlight was stuck inside of them.

They were mako infused.

These same eyes also helped her see in the dark. It was a minor effect of the many experiments that were done on her.

During those years of horror she had been called many things.

A human test subject;

An amazing, flawless superhuman;

A failed test subject she was called…by him.

He was the one her vengeance was on tonight. The one her mako green eyes and her implanted targeting system were on.

She had to admit he did gave her these amazing powers, but what he did to her mentally, she could not fix. He left her unstable. He was going to pay for it, all the wrong he had done to her and many others. They had been treated like lab rats.

Her sleek superhuman form jumped from one building to the next, remaining unseen.

He did not suspect a thing.

She crouched down next to the building as he paused for a moment.

………………

With a swish of his lab coat he started off again.

She made sure her steps were quieter this time. She couldn't let him get away again. She slid away from the shadows.

Her lightweight movements made no sound as she slid from hiding spot to hiding spot.

He walked on.

She slowly crept up behind him, she raised the dagger and…

"Lab Experiment 160980, I wouldn't do that."

She dropped the dagger in shock and took a few steps back. She grimaced, "It's Aria. Aria Onyx."

"Who cares, either way, what do you want this time?"

"I want my sanity back," she growled.

"Your sanity?" he laughed all-knowingly. He turned around to face her, his glasses glinting in the faint light so you could not see his cold eyes.

"I'll make a deal with you. I can bring you back to the lab and fix your…problems. Only if you're up for it."

Aria looked down for a moment. Maybe she could go back to the way she was, before her mind went insane.

No.

Aria picked up the dagger.

"I would rather you dead."

He snorted and cackled in laughter.

"You'll never get rid of me… I'm the only one who can save you."
