Alright, so this is my first try at a REAL romance story, so....here you go: a one-shot! Please review! :]

Harvey and Gabby walked silently down the abandoned street, eyes focused solely on the dull, gray concrete. Both were afraid of looking at the other, for the fear of embarrassment was still too near. Gabby knew she should probably feel scared with all the people haunting her simply because she had a connection with Harvey, but she felt oddly safe and secure in his presence. As always.
The silence was fierce. Gabby decided it was now or never.
"I'm sorry about before. I didn't mean to embarrass you in front of all those people."
Harvey glanced in her direction for only a brief second, but that was enough to make that reddish tint fly across her cheeks.
"It's no big deal. It's....been a long time since any one's ever told me they love me."
He smiled.
"Even if it wasn't directly said to me."
Gabby's cheeks turned even more red.
"I--uh--I didn't actually mean it, you know..."
Gabby spoke, willing her voice to sound sincere even though the words caused her pain to say. She stopped walking and hooked her hand around a streetlight. Slowly, but gracefully, she spun around in a circle. Ever since she was little, she'd found the constant blurring of lights fascinating, almost invigorating. She took careful steps so that she wouldn't run into Harvey and spun around again. And again, and again, and again, and again. Just as she was starting to get dizzy and lose her sense of direction, she ran into a strong object that had suddenly placed itself in her path.
It took her a second to realize it was Harvey.
She grabbed ahold of his shoulders to steady herself, and, just as she expected, simply touching him made her heart skip a beat.
Everything was spinning slowly, but she could suddenly feel the presence of his comforting hand on her cheek. Her pulse immediately quickened, and she inhaled deeply as his thumb traced her jawline affectionately. She realized now that she'd subconsciously backed up into the pole, so there was no where to go.
Everything stopped spinning for a moment, and she saw him lean in slowly. He looked at her with those sapphire blue eyes hidden under golden lashes. Her breathing was suddenly uneven, and she struggled to breathe. It seemed like forever before his smooth lips touched hers. But when they did, it sent Gabby's mind into a blissful pandemonium. Everything spun around, but the only thing she could focus on was Harvey's warm lips upon her own. Her arms took on a mind of their own and snaked around his neck, her fingers entangling themselves in his hair.
By the time he pulled away, she was breathless and dizzier than she'd ever been in her life.
Harvey looked at her and flashed her a triumphant, brilliantly beautiful smile.
"Sure you didn't."
