Xirysa Says: Bonjour, mes chéries! So. I know I like to make things not… Obvious, you know? Somehow, though, this one-shot ain't like that. Sorry, but I hope you enjoy it anyway! (And is it just me, or are my one-shots getting shorter and shorter?)
Hold on Tight
She usually loved the rush of adrenaline through her veins. The feeling of the wind rushing through her hair could leaver feeling giddy and breathless for minutes at a time.
But this was different.
Every fiber of her being screamed out in protest as she sat down. Cold metal surrounded and prevented her from leaving its confines. The metal chilled her skin through the material of her clothing and left goose bumps on her skin even though the day was warm and humid.
She was oh so cold, she thought as her body was locked into place and her metal prison lurched forward. So cold she'd never be warm again.
Now they were traveling up, up, up, and she felt as if she had left her stomach on the ground below, and… What was this?
Her hand was now enveloped by warmth that was spreading rapidly through her entire body. She opened her eyes and peered at her hand curiously.
She blinked.
Strong brown fingers covered her own pale, fragile ones gently. She smiled at brown hand's owner and smiled gratefully. The ground beneath them was forgotten as he brushed his thumb over her knuckles comfortingly.
"Never let go," he said as they went over the edge.
She wanted to tell him she never wanted to, but screamed instead as they began the journey through oblivion.

André watched Oscar with a bemused expression on his face as she walked out of the bathroom and wiped her mouth on a napkin.
She glared at him. "I hate roller coasters."
"Maybe you shouldn't have had all that food before getting on it, then." He glanced at the bathroom pointedly.
Oscar just grabbed his arm and pulled him after her. "C'mon, you big goof. Let's go."
He stumbled a bit before falling into place beside her and wrapping an arm around her waist. Oscar smiled.
Stupid chili dogs, she thought as she leaned into him, happy for the warmth.
Somehow, Oscar felt that it wasn't only the chili dogs and roller coaster that made her sick.
