Chapter 1: the meeting
In the world of Remnant there are three races of people, the Humans, Faunus, and the Ghouls: the Faunus are Humans with one animal trait i.e. wings, ears, tail, etc. meanwhile the Ghouls are beasts who have evolved to live off RC cells, which can only be found in Humans and Faunus leading them to constant cannibalism.
It was a cold day in early July as Blake Belladonna walked out of the interrogation room where she had just met Professor Ozpin in for her Beacon application. (for an image of Blake click here) Despite it being a deceptively short conversation with the headmaster she was tired as she slowly walked down a few blocks to a nearby coffee shop, named Anteiku, that she'd been going to for a few weeks now. She had befriended Irimi, one of the waitresses who worked there, to a point. Entering the coffee house, she entered the coffee house and walked over to the nearest booth, smiling as the smell of fresh coffee hit her sensitive nose. Sitting down, she got out her current book- Egg of the Black Goat by Sen Takatsuki and began reading.
A few pages after Irimi gave her a coffee she was interrupted by a pretty girl with purple hair and matching eyes surrounded by red-rimmed glasses, wearing a white dress with blue sleeves. She introduced herself as Rize Kamishirou before saying "I'm sorry for interrupting but I couldn't help but notice that you looked a little lonely and figured we could…maybe…read together…" she then pulled out her own copy of the Egg of the Black Goat. "It's just I'm reading the same book as you and I don't know anyone else who enjoys Sen Takatsuki's work…" Rize finished nervously. Blake smiled up at her and said "It's fine I'm Blake by the way". During the next couple hours, the two young women began to talk, discussing favourite books, Sen Takatsuki's work and even exchanged scroll (Remnant's phones) numbers and agreed to meet again next week.
Over the course of the next few months a friendship bloomed between the girls or, so it would seem…
