Sticks and Stones can break your bones but words cant hurt you.

It was a bright afternoon and the wind played with the young man's hair as he stood there staring out at the horizons. It was sunny, yes, but was he warm? No. He had lost his warmth ever since his love left the world, taking a part of him with her.A single tear rolled down his cheek as memories flooded his head.

They never had the chance to tell each other how they truly felt. For years they had travelled together. They had been there for each other through thick and thin. They had been there for each other when everyone lost hope. They walked in when everybody walked out.

He watched her go, yet made no attempt to prevent it. She said he couldn't stop the inevitable, that it was destined tohappen. But he didn't agree. He never believed in "destiny". He thought that one's destiny is in your own hands. He felt that this was all his fault. That he could have done something anything than to just stand there idly and watch it happen. The color slowly faded from her skin. She got weaker each passing day.

He could remember that last day clearly. He came to visit her just like every other day. He held her close as thoguh he was afraid that if he let go, she would vanish. She reached a hand and lightly stroked his messy hair. With the remaing power in her, she lifted herself up. She wanted to say something but she couldn't. He could make out the first couple of words "Goodbye Ash..I..cough lov..." her voice trailed offand before she could finish her sentence, her hand fell on the white bed and the sound of a beep echoed through the room. The doctor's words never left my head "She is gone..."

He stared at her lifeless body, tears refusing to fall. He didn't even get to hear her finish her last words. He didnt even get to tell her his last words. He kissed her on the cheek one last time and put the sheet over her face. He stared out at the window. The landscape was filled with small dropslets of water slowly descending from the sky, Even heaven was mourning for her.

He didn't think he could live without her. He didn't know how long he could last before he went insane. But he held tight. Gripped ontothe only thing thatkept himgoing. He had promised her to becomeMaster.Topersue his dreams and to live on happily, even if it was happiness without her. She sacrificed her life to save his. He didn't want her sacrifice to be in vain, so he continued to journey. To work hiswayup tofulfiling not only his dream, but her's as well.

Now, ten years down the road, he has finally become Master. He learned to move on. But that doesn't mean he has forgotten.

The three little words "She's gone" will pain me forever. Sticks and stones may beeasier tobear.
