A chill swept icily across perfect ivory skin. Slight shudders shook the hunched shoulders every time the biting wind would caress the small amount of exposed skin. Silky ice blonde hair wafted in the whispering wind, fluttering down into mercury eyes that didn't stray from the dirt path. Occasionally, a new scratch would appear on the already torn robes that billowed elegantly around a slim frame.

The full moon always drew this boy into the forest, the tightly packed trees offering the companionship that was sorely missed. For the silver orb in the sky brought back memories. Memories of wide, emerald eyes glittering with the last tears they spilt. Images of long lashes resting serenely in death danced behind the fair boy's eyelids. The haunting tune of those last words, almost sounding like an angel's choir, carried on the relentless breeze.

"I love you…"

A lone tear trickled down the cold skin, the first of many that would fall that night. That night, the anniversary of his death. The death of the only one ever let close enough to the ice prince to win his love. Killed, murdered, for blood to end the world. Luckily, the ritual didn't work, but that just made it worse. He died in vain. Death would not be coming soon, since the survivor was young, and the dark lord that had posed a threat was killed by the blood he stole.

And the icy heart that had melted for a lonely saviour was ripped as only a beating heart could be. This was all that he could do now, being as alone as he was now. All he could do was walk in the forest, wishing bitterly for a dangerous creature to end his torment. All that he could offer were the pearly tears that fell every full moon for his lost love. For the tears were all that was left for him to give.
