Chapter One: Halliwell

These stories are untold. Gaps between spaces. Nothing clear between greys. The legacies untold. Monsters becoming hero's, Hero's being destroyed. You will be amazed how the mighty have fallen. We were founded upon legends. Witches after witches. Good magic before great. We descended from a long line of Halliwell magic. Good before great. No creature. No magic more greater, nor powerful than ours.

Azcadelia closed the book of shadows. The book had grown over the years. It had grown so large the family had decided to build a glass case. As well as fogging the glass with protection spells. Azcadelia moved the book from her lap and snapped her fingers twice. The book began to levitate to its resting place. She closed the glass door and began making her way downstairs.

She made her way into the kitchen and found her younger siblings gathered. She grabbed her a bottle of water from the refrigerator. They stopped talking and she gave them a strange look. She could tell they was having a secret meeting. At that very moment a old memory flashed before her eyes.

She looked at the three gathered at the island bar. Wyatt, Viper and her past self. Always three. Gathered always in thirds. She saw their bodies stiffen as if they could feel her essence in the room.

Wyatt cleared his throat, stiffening his broad shoulders. "in time, all will be destroyed…"

"What do you suppose we do Wyatt?" Viper questioned, folding her arms. Viper being the hothead of the family. She always had to be the one questioning every position from any angle. She was more like her aunt than she wanted to be.

"We must…" furture Azcadelia softly said on the same beat as Wyatt. Barely above a whisper. The past Azcadelia turned slightly and stared at her future self. The exchange of glances, future Azcadelia could tell she wouldn't spill about another being in the room.

"Don't you dare!" Our own sister. What if Chris had done the same to you when you became evil" Viper shouted. He didn't even have to finish the sentence for Viper to know what he was implying. Her temper was flaring up. Family was family and blood would always be thicker than water.

"Azcadelia!" Viper shouted, past Azcadelia snapped out of her daze. "Do you hear Wyatt? What he is even suggesting…" Viper mouthed outraged. Past Azcadelia nodded her head the same beat as her future self.

"Our family's great demise will surely come of this" the past Azcadelia softly announced, making Viper stalk off.

Azcadelia caught her breath as she returned to her body. Not sure why she had astro-projected to the past. She found herself startled by her old fogged memories. Even more startled that all eyes were on her.

"Where did you go?" one of her siblings asked.

"No where," Azcadelia quickly answered while walking off to visit an old friend.

Azcadelia found her way back to the attic. Where she felt like she was spending most of her time there. She began to go through her grams old chest to find a black cloak. She flared it out and covered herself completely. Where she was going she didn't want anyone to recognize her.

She stepped slowly over to the accent wardrobe in the room. She opened it and stairs formed going downward. One of her older siblings had enchanted the wardrobe as children. It was a passageway to any place they wanted to go. All you had to do was think hard enough and you would be there. She step inside and closed the door behind her. She creep down the stairs into the underworld. Each step disappearing behind her as she moved further. One thing about the wardrobe it was only a one way passage.

Once she landed at the last step. She headed to find her hot temper sister.

When she found her. It had felt like ages. It was one of the prices they paid for certain decisions of the past. She still looked the same. Her long golden hair and her soft blue eyes smoking with rage. She was always upset. Always ready for combat. Always ready to set anything and anyone on fire. There was no surprise that she became the source of all evil wife. Azcadelia watched as her sister stopped yelling at her guards. They could always sense one another.

"Leave me," she waved her guards off. "show thyself," sitting back down on her throne. Azcadelia rose from her hidden spot and removed the hood from her cloak. She stood before her sister. She was surprised when Viper jumped up to hug her.

"My dear Viper, have I forsaken you?" Azcadelia qustioned.

"No Azcadelia, you have not. I have chosen this life"

"You can always come back home,"

"Home? Things are no longer the same…" Viper said trailing off.

"Do you think you're honestly fit to be an evil queen?"

"There is no evil, nor good. Only power. What side will you cling to once she rises?"

"being powerful witches made us great. Using that power gracefully made us good and being righteous made us devine."

"She made us divine," Viper voiced back with anger. Rising from her throne.

"Our demise has reached us, Queen Viper. Count your blessings," Azcadelia said softly as she kissed her sister on the cheek. She disappeared into flames not wanting any demons to sense her presence.

After Azcadelia left Viper sat there pondering. Her sister never visited twice a year. Only once on the same day and time. Also in all the years Azcadelia never asked her to come back home. What had changed after so many years? Viper waved her hand attempting to conjure the virgin oracle. A bright light appeared and disappeared quickly. She sighed. The oracle was a difficult creature. She rolled her eyes and descended from her throne in flames.

She shivered when she arrived to the crystal palace.

"What brings thy?" She heard a gentle voice say. The oracle appeared within a cloud of smoke. Viper turned around to face the oracle. She had always admire the oracle. She had a unique beauty. She had long white hair past her shoulders. She had the purest white snow eyes and long crystal witch nails that sparkle with diamonds. The oracle was simply an angel.

" you look cold," Viper commented.

"And you look demonic," they both laughed.

"What brings you to my domain, Viper?" the oracle questioned.

"Just a sisterly visit,"

"You dont do sisterly visits,"

"What have you foreseen Kallisto?" Viper asked.

Kallisto said moved closer and placed her fingers on Viper's hand. Her eyes turning slightly smokey grey as she looked through time. After a moment her eyes returned back to snow and she removed her hand. She turned her back and went over to touch her plants.

"I see nothing,"

"Nothing?" Viper asked for reassurance.

"No you, no me, no Azcadelia. Nothing." Kallisto said slowly.

"And will she rise ?"

"Yes, surely as she promised." Kallisto answered, nodding. Viper caught her breath and took three steps back.

"What will you do?"

"I am neither evil nor good."

"You are a Halliwell," Viper stated folding her arms.

"Aren't you too?" Kallisto challenged. "As well as Demetria…"

"I did not drag her to evil"

"No but you influence her"

"And I did not vanquish my own sister"

"Yet you took the blame and the victory"

and there was silence between the two.

"We all paid a price Kallisto,"

"And you more than most"

"There's no turning back now"

"Are you sure? After all once a Halliwell always a Halliwell,"

Viper turned on her heel with a quick smirk.

"Next time just call me instead of conjuring. Some of us still use our orbing powers"

"I'll keep that in mind." Viper replied, disappearing in flames.

Viper arrived to her penthouse within flames. She was startled when her husband placed his hand on her shoulder. She turned around swiftly. He gave her a disapproving look.

"It was said that your sister Azcadelia was spotted today,"

"Azcadelia?'" Viper said giving a puzzled look. She began to take off her jewelry and head to the bathroom. She reached under the cabinet grabbing her rose petals and a bath bomb. Her husband resting his body on the door frame. Viper's husband was handsome man. Tall about 6'0 with a muscle body. Caramel brown skin with a very smooth complexion and soft hazel eyes. Very attractive to most women.

"Why would my sister be in the underworld Xavier?" Viper questioned, removing her clothes. She threw her bath bomb and petals in the tub as she began to run the water.

"Of course to see you,"

"Well I didn't see her,"

Xavier stood there for a second and trailed off into the living room. Viper sighed and swallowed hard. He would have her head if he knew the truth. She was in no mood to have a fight with the source of all evil. She snapped her fingers and candles appeared around the tub. She waived her hands and the bathroom door shut. She closed her eyes and tried to relax.

Before Azcadelia could open the front door she was surprised by her two younger siblings yanking it open. She could tell they had been waiting on her. She looked them over. They had been so young when they received their divine powers. So young when the chaos of their family broke loose. It began when one of their elder sisters had passed. Each changing form and appearance once they received their great power. All unique in their own way.

"What troubles you?" Azcadelia asked.

"You know," her sister Selene answered. Selene had a mermaid like appearance. She was slim but yet not too tall. She had blue, purple and turquoise twisted hair. On each twist there was a unique seashells. Many variations. Her beautiful sun tan skin glowed with radiance. Allowing her sea green eyes to stand out. She was a siren to all. "A storm is coming," Selene added.

"A great storm," the other sister emphasized. Minerva. She had golden tribal markings on her right arm. On her left arm she had golden beads wrapped around her like old egyptian jewelry. Warrior beads. Only to be used when necessary. Minerva had midnight blue hair that she kept in a high bun most of the time. Giving her extraordinary beauty, her honey brown eyes settle her appearance. She was simply gorgeous.

"Says who?" Azcadelia questioned.

"Says I," a voice behind the sisters answered. The two step aside to reveal the face beind the voice.

"Christopher," Azcadelia mouthed folding her arms.

"Azcadelia," Chris shot back.
