This is a Pokémon fan fiction set in a post-apocalyptic world. It will be based on the general story of the games, but with a darker and more mature tone to it.

A Post-Apocalyptic Pokémon Fan Fiction Chapter 0: Prologue

Humans and Pokémon have lived alongside each other in peace for many years. Humans knew nothing of the power that these creatures possessed. Eventually, humans began to learn about the powers that Pokémon possessed. Many people believed that Pokémon should be used to advance mankind, whereas others believed that they should be left alone to maintain the peace. This sparked a war between these two groups of people. The people who believed that Pokémon should be used for mankind's benefit developed the Pokéball, a technology designed for enslaving Pokémon and to obey orders given by the human who uses it. Pokémon were caught up in the middle of this war, many of which became slaves to selfish humans. Many humans were killed, whether it be by Pokémon or other humans. Many Pokémon died, whether it be by humans or other Pokémon.

As a result of this war, the world is now in ruins. Many Pokémon have become hostile towards humans as a means of survival, and humans defend themselves from the once peaceful but now savage creatures.
