Hey y'all, just a quick announcement that I will be continuing with my other story, The Price Of Love, however I really wanted to write out this story line. SYOC form down below
Crown Prince Ethan Grae Schreave pulled his pants back on, quickly tucking his shirt in. He paused for a second to consider. Who cared if he was late? It was only the King and Queen of France. He searched the room for his suit jacket, finding it strewn across the balcony rail.
His companions from last night stirred, sitting up in bed to watch him dress.
"Sorry, ladies. Time to go!" The girls pouted, but threw aside the covers, slipping on the clothes that they too had discarded the night before. "I believe there are some maids that will happily show you the way out." The girls nodded, running out of the room giggling. Ethan rolled his eye, walking over to his desk and pulling out a small mirror attempting to smooth down some stray hairs. He was not at all excited for this meeting.
His butler, Charles一an old, bitter man一walked in, carrying on a tray a bottle of blue-ish liquid, a water bottle, and three small white pills.
"What's that for?" Ethan didn't try to cover up his annoyance at the butler barging in. He had a killer headache and he struggled to keep his eyes open.
"Mouthwash, for your breath. I can smell the whiskey from here." Ethan growled at the butler, the motion sending shots of pain lancing through his head. "As for the pills," Charles slipped them into his hand, "headache medication." Ethan nodded, and the butler bowed before leaving.
Ethan stared at his bed, the silk sheets and pillows looking so comfortable. Maybe, he wouldn't go to that meeting after all. Ethan thought it over. Yes, going back to bed was the right decision. The French would still be there when he woke up.
Without pausing, Ethan walked over to his bed, falling face first upon the pillows, pulled the covers up around him, and dozed off.
Ethan woke up to someone pounding the hell out of his door. Moments after he sat up and opened his eyes, they flew open so hard he was shocked they didn't fall off the hinges.
"Ethan Grae Schreave!" His father stormed in, throwing a stack of newspapers on the bed on his stomach, causing him to groan in pain.
"Father! What is the meaning of this?" Ethan squinted at the light as his father threw open the curtains.
"Sixteen thousand." Ethan stared up in confusion at his father. "That's how much I had to pay the tabloids to make sure they did not run that story."
Ethan picked up one of the newspapers, quickly reading the headline.
Crown Prince Ethan skips meeting with the royal french family to attend to other "needs".
Right below it, there was a picture of him shirtless and dancing drunk in his room with some girls. It looked like it had been taken from a boat on the lake that sat behind the palace.
Ethan didn't know how to feel. Violated for one. It's not like this was the first time a picture of him partying had slipped out, but of him in his room? He was used to not having privacy as a royal however, this was a whole new level.
"I have no choice, son." His father shook his head at Ethan and he came to sit on the edge of his bed. "You're having a selection." Ethan felt his world slip out from under him.
