24 Hours

This is au Clare and Owen are friends. Enjoy.

9am

Clare walked over to her friend Owen and sat down next to him on the bench he was sitting on outside of school.

"Howdy partner!" She exclaimed putting on her best cowboy accent. Owen turned to her and smiled

"What do you need?" He asked, he turned back to his phone.

"I heard you quit school." Clare said sounding even more serious than before.

"So?" He asked, Clare sighed

"I hate it when you do this." Clare sighed, Owen turned to her again

"What do I do?" He asked getting defensive and angry.

"Whenever things get to hard you quit." Clare said getting even angrier. After a few minutes Owen got out a cigarette to roll one. Clare watched him for a few seconds before tapping his shoulder. Owen stopped what he was doing and looked at Clare questioningly. "Let's make a deal." Clare said, Owen quirked an eyebrow.

"OK." He said,

"For 24 hours starting now you have to start actually trying." Clare said.

"Fine, only if for the next 24 hours you cannot say no to anything." Owen said, Clare shook her head

"I don't say no often." She said crossing her arms over her chest defensively.

"Yes you do, anyone offers you a drink or asks you to do anything, you say no." Owen said, Clare sighed

"Ok." She answered, Owen smiled and opened his bag and got out a black pen and grabbed Clare's hand and wrote NO with a cross going through it. Clare took the pen off him and wrote Give Up with a cross going through it. Owen smiled slyly

"Buy me some pancakes please." Owen said, Clare frowned

"No," She said but she then looked at her hand "Yes." She said rolling her eyes, Owen laughed and shook his head in amusement.

"This is going to be a fun 24 hours." He said before walking off.

"I hate you," Clare huffed following him, but she stopped following him when she realised they were walking away from the school, towards the car park "Where are we going?" She asked him, Owen turned to her and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans

"We are going to leave school for the day." He said, Clare walked over to him

"We can't skip." She said, Owen smirked

"I don't go here anymore."He said, Clare frowned

"I do." She stated. Owen grabbed her hand and started pulling her towards the car park

"The school won't miss you." He said. Clare bit her bottom lip and reluctantly let him drag her away from Degrassi.
