Millicent loved Dudley.
She loved him since she saw him the first time on platform 9 ¾.
Dudley loved Millicent.
He loved her since he heard Harry talk about her.
They had nothing to bind them together, except their love.
She loved that he saw her for her. He didn't see a socially awkward, slightly heavy, unpopular girl. He saw Millicent, just Millicent.
He loved that she saw beyond his past. She didn't see the big, fat guy who bullied the weak. She saw the guy who had put his past behind him and was trying to change.
They accepted each other, flaws and everything.
He changed her, altered a beliefs. She might have been a bigoted muggle-hater, but today she could confidently accept that she loved him.
She also reformed his views. He always hated magic, but today he awed at the beauty of it.
They loved each other, and that was the only thing they knew.
