Emerald green eyes watched the night, waiting for prey to come by so the creature could feast. The forest was lit by a silver moon, lighting path ways that innocent beasts would walk on. It was there he caught most of his food. The red substance was all he needed to survive. but he still felt the pains of hunger, as if something was missing.
As he whisked between the trees, waiting for someone oblivious enough to walk by, he passed a bench over looking a little pond. The creature stopped and glanced. There sat a person, now his next victim. Quietly he made his way to the forest floor. Step by step brought him closer to the creature. As he grew only two steps away did he not feel his bloody hunger. The once hungry beast was full as he stared at them. Did he dare speak to them? Did he dare say they looked rather wonderful in the moonlight in their light blue themed outfit. Slowly, he made his way to the free spot on the bench and sat down.
"'Ello." He said, looking at his lap.
"Hello...vampire..." the stranger's voice was smooth like the branch they were debarking, no fear wavered in the sound they spoke. The man looked up at them in shock. how did they know he was one?
"Your fangs glitter in the moonlight like the waves from the pond." they continued to debark the branch.
"Why are you debarking it?" he asked.
"The bark helps it stay so beautiful on the inside. I had wished to see how the smooth wood looked under the bark." their voice stopped as they looked up at him. His face filled with confusion.
"Like your thick eyebrows. People make fun of them, yet they make you very handsome both outside and inside." A slight blush crept onto their face as they realized what they said. Quickly the stranger looked down and went back to debarking the branch with their thumb nail. He blushed at the comment.
"I um...T-thank you?" he looked at his hands and fiddled with them. The stranger let out a surprised squeak as a sliver of wood slide under their thumb nail. It began to bleed lightly, causing his hunger for blood to ache once again. Their eyes moistened as they tried to removed the sliver. Quickly, he grabbed the thumb and sucked on it, trying to get both sliver and blood. The stranger's face turned to him with a shocked expression. He removed her thumb from his mouth slowly and stuck out his tongue, the sliver at the tip.
"Thank you Mr..." A small smile played at the features of their face nicely. He picked the sliver from his mouth and flicked it to the ground.
"Kirkland, Arthur Kirkland." he looked at them, hoping they would give him their name.
"(L/N), (F/N) (L/N)." the stranger held up the now completely debarked piece of wood.
"The wood is smooth and absolutely beautiful like you (N)." He said scooting closer. When the person looked up, their lips met for a kiss.
"I never believed in love at first sight... now I do." (N) pulled away slightly. Arthur and (N)'s forehead rested on each other as they gazed into each others eyes. The connection and spark growing heavier between them.
"Neither have I,love, Neither have I"
