Dean must of fallen asleep after a night of many beers and just hanging out with his younger brother Sam, Dean was sprawled out along the grubby looking motel bed wearing a green shirt with his scruffy jeans and still having his boots on his feet, he held a half bottle of beer in his hand and his other hand was against his chest while one leg was straight and the other was dangling at the side of the bed in his dream he couldn't of been more peaceful. He was sat in a deck chair on an embankment the place looked a little familiar then it hit him, this was where the leviathans dragged Castiel's vessel into the water why he was dreaming of this he had no idea, a small sigh escaped his lips as he realised how much he missed Castiel, he missed the awkward stare of the fallen angel, the way he said things no one really understand or would get the wrong meaning of.
Dean closed his eyes in his dream and let the wind wisp through his spiked up hair that was when he heard it, the familiar sound of flapping wings, he opened his eyes and looked to the side of him seeing Castiel stood there, he wasn't wearing his famous trench coat, he was just in his suit and he looked pretty awful, what looked like blood was dripping down the angelic face of Castiel
'Cas?'
Dean asked quickly getting up and looking towards him seeing the look of regret and pain in his beautiful blue eyes, Dean sighed and frowned, how could he be so stupid? In a way what Castiel had done was for the best, Raphael was going to cause another apocalypse and it could have been stopped but Castiel didn't have to lie to him
'Dean! I don't have much time but I wanted to apologise for everything'
Castiel said in the same gravel tone like voice that Dean was so used to hearing, Dean felt his lips twitch as a smile creeped along his lips, was he smiling? Because Castiel apologised that was wrong as it should be Dean apologising
'No Cas! You don't have to be sorry because I forgive you'
Dean mentioned wanting to hug him but he knew he couldn't this was a dream and Castiel was dead, how he was here? Dean had no clue perhaps a figure of his imagination, Dean looked towards the Angel and there it was, the one thing he never expected on his face for once Castiel was smiling, it may only be a small smile but it was there, Dean nodded his head and sat back down in the deck chair hearing a whisper of a voice as Castiel faded
'I love you Dean'
Then the once awkward Angel but turned hero was gone, his particles blowing in the wind.
That was when Dean woke up quickly, he placed his fingers to his head and rubbed his forehead, he looked around the room to see that Sam wasn't there probably gone out to get some breakfast or something like that, Dean remembered the dream perfectly and that smile wouldn't leave his mind, Dean looked up to the ceiling though knew Castiel wasn't up there but he hoped he would hear it
'I love you too Huggy bear'
Dean called out before looking down to the bottle of beer in his hand and bringing it to his lips where he would take a swig of it, he used his other hand to delve under his pillow where he pulled out the famous tan trench coat, he brought it to his chest and held it close before placing the bottle down on the floor and going back to sleep while hugging the last piece of Castiel.
