Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts...or any of the related stuffs...yeah.

Author's Notes: I've had this stewing in my head for a few months, and then last night after midnight (my brain was absolutely fried from babysitting) I got the urge to write it, so I did. In the dark, since someone was in the other room moving around. So my original manuscript is very interesting. Anyway, ramble over...brain still fried.

Challenge fic for Silver Moon Droplet's challenge. I kinda like them...they go together, ne?

It was a game between them. He had found her, skulking in the shadows of Radiant Garden in her black coat. She had tried to hurt him, she gave it her all, but he fended off her slender, deadly blades with powerful swings of his own blade and dodged her shocks with ease.

He admired her catlike agility and wiry toughness; she admired his brute strength. From then on, it was a game. She threw her cruel barbs at him, verbal and physical, and he smirked when they barely penetrated his thick, icy shell. Words meant nothing to him, and a blade was easily deflected. She made a game of trying to hurt him, a game that was as enjoyable to him as it was to her.

It amused him so that she thought she could hurt him.

And he finally slipped, she finally hurt him and won their fatal game. When a small silver knife finally stuck in his chest and his crimson blood, the only thing warm about him, finally spattered the cobblestones, ice eyes met ice eyes for the first time and he rewarded her with a kiss that was as cold as the rest of him.

Cloud/Larxene, for those of you who didn't pick up on that.

Kind of warped, but I like it. And short as hell, but since when do I write long things?

Reviews are love, people.
