Briarlight's Plight

Poem about Briarlight with her paralysis and the pain it causes her. In this the others don't really care about her.

I don't own 'Warriors'.

(I am a line break. Fan fiction likes to make the authors life hard and delete line breaks, please ignore me.)

I see a kit,

Stuck in a tree

"Child!" I cry,

"What should I do with thee?

"I cannot help you,

"I cannot plea!

"We are far from home,

"Too far for me!

"I cannot call them,

"They would not listen,

"They would not care."

The kit cried,

"It does not matter,

"I will not fare,

"Any better

"Right down there."

"But kit!" the queen* cried,

"I must help you,

"I have vowed."

"My mother is close,"

The kit replied from on high,

"She will listen,

"She will care.

"My mother is a rogue, (as I hear you call them)

"But she sounds more of a warrior,

"Than those I hear about,

"You can teach our band the Way."

"Thank you," Briarlight said,

"My Plight is no longer,

"On my head."

Authors note

About what I did, calling Briarlight a queen, she hasn't had kittens, but queen is what you call a female cat regardless of whether or not they have had a litter.
