Couldn't Be Happier

Raikov looked up at the larger man, snuggling closer as he slept. He closed his eyes and held onto him tighter. That damn American spy... He hoped that Volgin knew what he was doing, going after him. He'd heard rumors, and even tales from Ocelot about the legendary Snake. Even the Boss seemed to admire him on some level, and she intimidated even Volgin! Raikov frowned and tried to shake off the worry. If Volgin could take out anyone, it would be Snake. At least he hoped so. The last thing he needed was something happening to his lover. People would often look at them and assume that Volgin only wanted Raikov because of his body, because he was a pleasant distraction. That had been true, once, but it had been mutual. They both needed stress relievers, and their sexual tastes ended up working so well together. Raikov was happy to get on his knees and take Volgin's cock as far down his throat as it could go, and Volgin loved seeing Raikov do it. That was how it began, but it had become so much more. Slowly, they realized they were both fucked up sadists, that they both needed to be loved by SOMEONE, and that they actually enjoyed each other's company. So, slowly, over the course of a few years, they got closer and closer. It was obvious that marriage wasn't exactly an option, but they were both kind of in an unspoken commitment to each other. Even if Volgin wasn't exactly monogamous, Raikov was still who he came home to at the end of the day. It seemed like nothing could tear them apart. Not Tatyana, not people's skeptical eyes and dirty looks, not even Naked Snake.

That was, until he did.

"You have to get up. Please!" Raikov cried, unable to lift Volgin's body into his arms. He settled for sobbing into the man's chest, crying and screaming profanities. That damn American dog... He got his happy ending with that WOMAN... Where was Raikov's happy ending? What had he done, aside from torturing and killing, to deserve something like this?!

"You can bring him back, you know, Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov." Raikov sat up, turning and looking for the small voice who uttered the words. His eyes landed upon a small cat-like creature with white fur and very odd features.

"Who are you?" He growled, wiping his tears with his sleeve so the creature wouldn't see them.

"My name is Kyubey. I can grant you any wish you want if you make a contract with me and become a magical girl!"

"I am NOT a woman," Ivan snorted, turning up his nose but considering the offer.

"I'm sorry. That's just a term we use. Would you prefer magical person?"

"...Any wish I want?" Ivan ignored the suggestion, looking back at the thing.

"Yes. Anything. No wish is too grand! All you have to do is fight witches! I make you a soul gem, and you gain magical powers to fight witches, creatures born of despair and curses." Ivan thought over the offer. He'd made many deals in his life, but this... He looked back at Volgin's still form and set his jaw.

"Deal."

"Alright! All you have to do is say your wish, and I'll grant it." Ivan took a deep breath and stood up.

"I wish... I wish to bring Yevgeny back to life!" He cried.

"The contract is sealed." The creature said, eyes seeming to glow. Ivan fell to his knees as a painful ripping sensation made its way through his chest.

"Augh... What the hell-?" He cried out loudly, as light burst from seemingly nowhere. He watched as a central point, a green glowing orb floated in front of him.

"Take it, and accept your destiny fighting witches, Ivan Raikov!" Ivan reached out and clasped it in his hands before everything went black.
