S'mores
"What on earth are you two doing?"
The two teens looked up at their raven-haired teammate. "We're making s'mores! Wanna join us teme?" Naruto offered, holding up a silver skewer. "It's really good Sasuke-kun," Sakura added, placing a marshmallow on her skewer before holding it over the fire.
"First, what are s'mores? Second, why do you even have those things? And three, no," Sasuke replied, sitting down beside a large tree with his hands relaxed under his head. "Well, one, s'mores are marshmallow and chocolate in between two graham crackers. Two, since we're basically camping out here, it's a good treat," Naruto explained, "And third, why not?"
"Naruto, just drop it. If Sasuke-kun doesn't want a s'more, that's his choice. Besides, that just leaves more for you and me," Sakura said sweetly, then raised her voice a little louder, "And Kakashi-sensei if he ever gets his nose out of that dirty book of his!" Said sensei looked up from over his book, "Did someone say my name?"
Sakura hit her forehead with her palm, "Why didn't that surprise me?" Naruto only laughed as he stuck two marshmallows onto the skewer and held it over the flame. "These are so great! These are one of my favorite foods, next to ramen and your muffins Sakura-chan," the blonde said as he turned the skewer to fully melt the creamy center to the treat to his liking.
The entire time Sasuke watched them, listening to them laugh and make random conversation while preparing the treat they seem to so intently love. Why people seemed to love sweet things, he wasn't sure, nor why his teammates would waste space in their bags for such items. Chocolate, crackers, marshmallows...things too sweet and uninteresting to him.
"Don't feel like joining the others?"
The Uchiha turned his head to see his sensei knelt down beside him, book put away and his lone eye shut, giving the sign that he was smiling under that mask of his. "Hn. I don't like sweet things," he replied. "Well, you don't have to eat, but you could just spend company with them," Kakashi said, now sitting down beside the tree, "I would join them in eating the s'mores, but I believe I will wait until after you three go to sleep. Although the scent is very tempting."
"If you say so."
"You know Sasuke, sometimes you should just have some fun."
"I'm not one--" Sasuke tried to say, but stopped when he noticed his teacher had gone, probably to read more of his dirty book alone and without chatter. With an annoyed sigh, he looked back at Naruto and Sakura, watching them bite into their favorite treat.
"I can't wait for the banquet! We're going to have so much fun making...huh? Teme?" Naruto asked, noticing the young teen approaching them. "Hmm? Yes, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked, equally curious.
"Can you...pass me a marshmallow?"
Sakura smiled as she passed him the bag as Naruto handed him the chocolate bar. "Glad you decided to join us, teme," he said, taking a bite of his treat.
"Sometimes it's good to just have some fun."
Random and full of Team 7 friendship fluff. Isn't that just cute?
