"Doctor, I think you should check on Jim," Montgomery Scott said, hailing McCoy with his communicator. "I'm in his room, I came to drop off a bottle of scotch for him, and I think our suspicions have been confirmed."
"They have?" McCoy gasped, astounded, "I'll be there immediately."
When McCoy entered the room, Scotty looked pleased. "I found 'em like this. They haven't moved, out cold."
"They have had an exhausting day," McCoy said, smiling at the scene he saw before him.
"We were right about them," Scotty added.
"Yes, we were," McCoy laughed, clapping a hand on Scotty's shoulder. "Best leave them be, eh?"
"Right so," Scotty said, "they need their rest."
Just before the door to the captain's quarters closed McCoy cast one last glance at the sleeping Captain who held his first officer curled up beside him in his arms, and smiled.
