Hey divergent lovers and fourtris supporters! As you probably know this is an alternate ending for allegiant. Yes, tris will die, but I wanted closure and for tris and Tobias's last words to mean something. A lot of the of the other alternate endings I read we're to fluffy, and divergent wasn't a fluffy story. I know your probably not reading this so I'll stop my rambling.
Disclaimer: I will insert myself to a mental hospital if I don't get over divergent. I suppose I'll have to get over the fact that I don't own the divergent trilogy.
Warning: Spoilers to allegiant, main character death (yes tris dies), and crying will occur. Warning, tread cautiously.
Caleb
I stared ahead silently at the door. I kept waiting for my baby sister to come out of the door. I respect my sister for all of the things she did. I remember as a child that Beatrice, Tris had been reluctant to help others. She often needed a push from me, when I was a child I was ashamed to have such a selfish sister.
Now I see how stupid I really was. I remember Beatrice complaining about not having a selfless nature. She couldn't have been more wrong, she just saved me while sacrificing herself in the process. I wanted to go in and take my sister's place, but I was a coward.
"Caleb what are you doing, where's Tris?"
I jumped in surprise and found myself facing Beatrice's boyfriend. I pointed towards the door. Traitor or not she still saved me.
Tobias
I ran through the door in a hurry. I had to get to her in time, my first thought was how could she do this to me? Why did you sacrifice herself for him? I first caught sight of a yellow glimmer.
That was when I ran to her.
"Tris!"
The tiny girl on the floor was Tris. My Tris. The beautiful selfless soldier that saved me so many times, and took me back after I'd done horrible things.
"Oh Tris!"
The pale blonde girl before had her clear crystal blue eyes filled with tears. I cupped my hand around her delicate face.
"Sssssh, it's okay. Your safe."
Tris shook her head before moving her hands away from her abdomen. She reveled two gaping holes. My eyes went as wide as saucers, not my Tris.
"I love you Tobias, don't do anything stupid."
Tris rasped before her eyes rolled back into her head, and went limp in my arms. Before I knew what I was doing I was sobbing.
It was the kind of sob that was desperate, and uncontrollable. I clutched Tris's cold body in my hands. I kept up making little animals, that was until Christina rushed in.
Her eyes widened at the sight of Tris's limp corpse. Moisture filled her eyes. I hugged Christina, and she too began crying.
we'll never forget you Tris, not ever.
