A/N: hey everyone, I was having a sleepover with my other Hunger Games obsessed friend, and this idea popped into my head. So at 4 a.m. I started writing this. I hope like it.
"Katniss, there is no District Twelve."
"What? No! This can't be happening," I did all of this to help save my home, but I just ended up getting it destroyed. "This is all my fault, everyone died because of me!"
"Katniss, it's not your fault-"
"Yes, it is. If I hadn't pulled out those berries in the arena, we would be living a normal, carefree life back in District 12,"
"You know that wouldn't be true. If you didn't pull out those berries and Peeta killed him-"
"OUT!" I can't hear his name right now; let alone thinking about him dying. With that Gale gets up and leaves. As soon as I hear the door shut I break down crying. Why Peeta? Peeta didn't do anything wrong, so why are you punishing him. I'm the one you want. Me, me. Not him. As I'm thinking this the door cracks open. "Go away, I'm not in the mood,"
"Fine, then I wont tell you about my plan,"
"No, wait. Come back. What plan?" ever since I wasn't in on the plan to escape the arena, I have been keeping an ear out for any plans that were floating around.
"We are going to try to get Peeta back. I wont be easy and it will take a while to plan, but we are going to try our best to get Peeta, Annie, and Johanna back."
"Really, or are you trying to keep something from me, again."
"Yes and no. We are going to try to find them and get them back safely, but the thing is, Snow isn't happy about you escaping the arena," what else is new? "We have the idea that Snow is trying to get the districts to calm down by getting Peeta to tell the whole country that the rebellion will fail, and that nobody can overthrow the Capitol."
"Anything else?"
"Peeta thinks you are dead or that Snow is having you tortured." WHAT! Why must I always be causing Peeta pain? All I want most in the world right now is to be next to Peeta telling him that it's going to be ok. That's it! I am going to save Peeta if it's the last thing I ever do, and it may just be.
