This tale focuses on Tori's point of view and thoughts.
It is said that the heart wants whatever it cannot have. Many nights of tears and faded memories plagued Victoria Vega, because her heart and mind pined for someone. It had been years since she last crossed their path, but she never truly forgot them. Her mind was often preoccupied, she agonized over the past, wondering if things could have been different. She missed the feeling of their soft skin, enigmatic eyes and that smile that made her giddy. She wept futile tears once more, she did not know how many times that she felt like this.
"I miss them. I miss them so much," She'd whisper to herself. In her mind she replayed those moments over and over again, trying to find some way to properly understand why it hurt so much.
"I don't see them clearly anymore". It was true, the figure in her mind's eye was very attractive, but she couldn't remember their name or any more distinctive features. She looked at her surroundings which were simple, devoid of ornamentation save for carven words upon the walls. These walls spoke of loss but there was more to that loss than pain. She couldn't help feeling like a fool, and yet sometimes it was hard to contemplate letting go of them.
She turned and left the room, in search of something that might help her remember. In any case, she realized it was time to head home, away from this place that held so many misremembered people. In some ways, she wanted more than anything else to see those eyes, to hear that voice, and to know their name.
For a long time, she wandered the city of angels, seeking a sign or a place or a figure that looked familiar. Her mind struggled to fill the void without success. She still wondered who "they" were. Why was it so hard to recall their eyes, to hear their laughter, and to understand why that tingly feeling happened when she tried to remember more distinctive details about them.
Eventually, she stopped wandering around near some place called Gentleman Ivan's Hotspot. The reason for that was a person that she noticed out of the corner of her eye. They had black hair, a expensive jet black suit, and wore a necklace that seemed familiar to Victoria. The person of interest seemed to be conversing with a petite Redhead wearing a blood-red cocktail dress, and the conversation appeared to be quite emotional. Victoria couldn't help herself, but maybe these individuals could. Her mind was made up, and she casually walked toward the redhead and her companion.
As she approached them, it became apparent that they were speaking about a woman: "Cat, I know you haven't seen her in six months but we just don't know when she will get better." Cat made a curious noise that sounded like a child who had just heard really sad news, and cried out : "I want to see her! It's not fair to her or to Andre or Robbie if we can't visit her!"
Victoria observed the stranger's posture tense up as though they were fighting back tears, and turned away from the confusing scene. She began to walk away when someone on the street let out a shriek of joy and disbelief: "Tori! Is that really you?! "
