"Talking"

'Thinking'

"Do you want a flower for your loved one?"

Fuji crouched down and stared at the boy. When the boy looked up and met his eyes, Fuji was shocked to see the most beautiful liquid gold he had ever seen.

"I'm sorry. I didn't bring any money with me." He apologized. The boy lowered his head again.

"Maybe next time…" Like there would be a next time, this man would leave and never give him a second thought.

"Saa, what do you need money for so badly, you'd stand around outside in the cold for?" Fuji asked, intrigued.

"-tion…" the boy said so quietly, Fuji couldn't hear him.

"Excuse me?" he said with a questioning tone.

The boy stared at him. "Education. School. Learning." He said, enunciating each word while his eyes built up a fiery determination within them. 'Living.' He thought to himself. Fuji watched the boy more closely.

"And…you're selling flowers for education?" The boy nodded. "If I lend you money to go to a school, will you stop standing around in the cold?" The boy looked at him questioningly.

"…Maybe, but why would you lend me money? I'm just a boy on the streets…" he said quietly. 'I have no home…' he thought.

"A very good question, one even I don't have an answer to. I suppose it's because you intrigue me." he said good naturedly. The boy looked up at him, intrigue also on his face as well.

"Oh…" he said softly.

"Well, what do you say, do you want to go to school?"

"Well, yes, but that would be a bother for you, and I couldn't possibly take your money…don't you need it?" the boy spoke up, speaking clearly.

"Why don't we call it a donation? To a good cause? You seem like a very good cause to give money to Besides, I have plenty of money. Why don't we speak of this back at my home. It's much warmer there, then it is here." Fuji spoke again to the boy, turning on his heel and looking over his shoulder at the boy, motioning for him to come along.

"O-Okay. I guess. Thank you for inviting me." The boy bowed and scurried along to catch up to the man. 'Who could this man be; nothing less but an angel I'd think.' The boy thought to himself again, now walking evenly with the man, step by step. 'I wonder where he lives…'
