For Better or Worse
Summary: Short Jack/Martha ficlet. Lots of fluff. See inside for dull details.
Notes: This is actually taken from the W.I.P fic (now completed) I was working on, I mentioned it briefly in the Author's Note of 'All At Once'. Since I don't think I'm going to post it, I decided to post this little scene of J&M, because I think it's really cute. I had to change a few things around, but I suppose the guy they're talking about could be Ash, at the start of his and Martha's relationship, but it's actually an OC from the fic I'm working on. Anyway, hope you like it, even though it is short.

For Better or Worse
"Jack… could I talk to you?"
Martha was standing in the doorway to the house she used to call her own, Jack walked over to her, and nodded immediately. "Sure, come in," he said, and when she walked in the door and sat on the lounge, he continued, "What's up?"
"It's about … us."
"Look, Mac, I know that we aren't going to get back together, and I said before that I still loved you, which I do, but if you want to move on then I'm not going to stop you. I just want to see you happy Martha."
She smiled, "Jack that's not -"
"And I know I was bit jealous about you being with another guy, and then I found out that you'd broken up… I saw how happy you were with him Martha… And if it was because of me that your broke up, then I'm sorry. So seriously, if you want to get back together with the guy, I don't care. And even if I did it's none of my business -"
"Jack," she cried blinking, not believing how he was rambling on.
"And yeah, I'm just sorry Mac. About everything…"
"Jack shut up!" she cried, and then burst out laughing when she saw the look on his face. "I came here to tell you that I … want… Us. I want us to try things again. I don't want to throw away what he had. Throw away our marriage. I still love you Jack."
"What?"
"I love you Jack," she repeated, smiling at him, "And I want us to get back together… I mean, that's if what you want."
She noticed that he looked shocked at first, but then after what she had said sunk in, a huge grin broke out on his face. "Wait there, two seconds."
She looked at him confused, as he ran down the hallway, and appeared a few seconds later with something. When she looked closer she realized that it was her wedding ring, she felt tears in her eyes.
"For better and worse, right?" he asked, as she held her hand out, and he slipped the ring on her finger.
"For better and worse," she replied, the tears increasing.
He pulled her close, and wiped her tears away, "I love you Martha Holden."
"I love you."
