Based on an imagineyourOTP prompt about doing dishes, suggested to me by RedbeautyFTW. I own nothing

"I had a lovely night, sweetie."

The Doctor turned from the cupboard he had just put the tea back into to see River walking towards the door.

"Oi! Where do you think you're going?"

"Prison. I do have a few more life sentences to complete after all."

"But… it's your turn to do the dishes."

His arm flung out in the direction of the sink. Sure they hadn't used much, but he didn't like leaving dirty dishes sitting around. Actually, the TARDIS didn't like it when he left dirty dishes sitting around.

"I would do them, but I really must get back to my cell. The guards don't like it when I stay out too long."

"I am not even going to explain the whole 'time machine' thing, seeing how you understand it completely."

"I will do them next time, sweetie, promise."

"You say that every time."

"And I will eventually fulfill it."

She turned back to the door. A moment later, her shoulder was drenched. She spun back to the Doctor.

He kept looking from her to the sink hose in his hand. His mouth was skewed, and that usual look of confusion had taken over his face.

"Oh, sweetie, that was a bad idea."

She started to stalk towards him. He dropped the hose, and glared at his hand, missing her smirk.

"A very, very bad idea."

I actually do want feedback. I don't work with Doctor Who characters often, and want to know if I got them right. Their dialogue, actions, everything. Thanks.
