Mal Fallon
Daughter
Yes, she was indeed that. She had tried in many ways to be a good one. He father finally accepting what she was, the path she had chosen. This had happened recently, just in time. But he had not known that at the time.
Sister
This one was true also, Neha meant everything to her. She had risked her life for her, and had often said she was the only one who she really considered family before she had made up with her father.
Friend
Yes, and to many. Amy, Ken, himself and even Kai. No one could help but enjoy her presence, she brought smiles on faces. Except when she was mad, and for this reason she was a…
Protector
The nameless, faceless people she had saved might not know. She had touched their lives, made sure they didn't end before their time. While doing so, she tried to give them a little closure by getting who had caused it.
Natara Williams
These words were larger, apart from the others. They were also true, Natara meant sacrifice. Natara had lived up to her name. Natara had given her life for someone, someone close to her. Had died in that persons arms, had let that person feel their breath leave their body. Watch as the light left her eyes. She had tried to say something with her final breath, but it had only come out as a shuttering gasp before she had one last jerking spasm, then she was gone. She was too still, already going cold in his arms.
"Why did you do it?" asked Mal. The white marble before him have him no answers. It remained still and cold, as if the answer was obvious. "Did you know-" he barely said in a whisper. He suddenly felt stupid for talking to a slab of stone, but knew he had to finish the question. "Did you know you would die if you took that bullet for me?". Unsurprisingly, there was no response. For some reason this angered Mal, as if Natara herself was ignoring him. He wished she was, that would at least mean she was alive. That they were mad at each other, and they would laugh about it later. He took one last look at the cold and emotionless stone, as if trying to imprint it in his brain. He got off the freshly packed earth, where grass had not yet come up. He walked away, not even looking back. Because he knew what Natara would say. 'What happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today, but revisiting this painful past can contribute little or nothing to what we need to do now...'
