Disclaimer I own nothing of CSI or Taylor Swift's song "Shake It Off"
Rocking Out
"Stay on him." Jackie yelled at the TV as if she thought the players in the basketball game she was watching could actually hear her.
Nick, Jackie, and all the kids were watching the game.
"Uh-oh, he hit the floor hard." Jackie said, about her and her children's favorite player, who had gone up for a block and landed on his back with a thud on the hard basketball court.
"Yeah that's not good." Nick agreed as the player just continued to lay there.
"Uh-oh him fall down." Houston said as he pointed at the TV.
"Yeah he did uh? What do we tell him?" Jackie asked the kids.
Expecting their answer would be it ok, or get up Jasmine's answer surprised her.
"Shake off." Jasmine yelled at the TV.
"Shake it off." Jackie agreed with a laugh.
Nick groaned inwardly he knew what was coming.
"Oh good, he's up." Jackie said as she motioned to the TV as the basketball player was up on his feet although seemingly somewhat gingerly as he walked to the bench.
She hated seeing anyone get hurt, especially when her kids were watching.
"Mama, Tayor, shake off." Jasmine said as she looked at her with an adorable smile, again Nick groaned.
Jackie paused the game and then turned on the CD player and turned on Shake It Off by Taylor Swift, that was all the kid's favorite song, and Jackie liked it too, Nick liked it too, at first anyway, but the kids made him and Jackie play it over and over again and he was getting sick of it.
All the kids started dancing around, and Jackie joined in.
"Daddy shake off." Jasmine said as she pulled on his arm, trying to get him out of his recliner.
He sighed but got up and started dancing too.
"Mommy, go easy on your shaking, I don't want you going into labor." He told Jackie with a smile over the music.
Jackie laughed.
"Yeah that wouldn't be good, as bad as I want to meet this little guy he has to stay in for several more months." She replied.
"Alright guys, let's finish the game." Jackie told the kids when the song had ended.
"No do Taylor gin." Jasmine said.
"Ok, one more time and then we have to finish the game or else it will get too late." Jackie said as she started the song over.
"No mommy, wrong." Jasmine told her as a song started playing and it was not Shake It Off.
"Oops." Jackie said as she found the right song.
They danced to the song again and when it was over Jackie un-paused the game so they could finish watching it.
The game was a nail biter and their team won by a single point thanks to their favorite player making a jump shot at the buzzer. The entire family went crazy they were so happy.
"I guess he really did shake it off." Nick whispered in Jackie's ear with a smile so the kids wouldn't hear.
Jackie nodded in happy agreement.
It had been a very enjoyable night for the entire family!
The End!
