I stared in wonder and puzzlement at the bright, white walls around me.
So ... this is death, huh? I thought. But ... Why do I feel as if I'm still alive? I kept turning, even though I had already seen the entire room.
I almost frowned at the sight of the tall figure. Almost. For somehow I had expected them to be there ... I don't know ... It just wasn't surprising.
The person before me seemed closer. They had coal black hair that pooled around their feet and enormous white wings, and It was then I realized that the wings, curving around me as they did, was what created the illusion of wings. As I looked closer he could see the feathers, the small, brown, freckle - like things that spattered the tips ...
The Angel had soft red lips and was wearing a robe like item which hindered my attmpt to determine their gender, and their eyes ... so big, big and - and blue ...
They looked at me and smiled, and I couldn't help but see him there, before me ...
"What are you doing here, Sasuke - kun?" Said the creature sweetly, and tilted their head back, and I could see the enormous blue orbs even better.
"I - I'm dead ..." I said slowly, and the Angels laughter rang through my head warm and sweet. The wings that made the walls pulled closer to me in a comforting gesture. I felt a white feather brush lightly against my arm.
"Sasuke, no one ever dies ... Of course, bodies don't live forever, but souls ... they never die ..." And suddenly the Angel was standing less than a foot from me. But gone was the pooling black hair ... the flawless, pale skin ... it was just gone. And in place of the pooling black hair was shoulder length, and shone like spun gold. Three scars marred each cheek ...
"Always know I love you, Sasuke ..." But his voice was fading ... Sasuke was losing him, again.
"No, Naruto! You can't leave me, not – not again!"
"But Sasuke ... I've always been with you. I never left ..." And Sasuke believed him. Because Naruto was an Angel. And everyone knows Angels can't lie. Ok ... Love it.
