Every Heart Healed

Chapter 1
:-: Kagome's POV :-:
With a heavy heart, I turned and began walking home. Home, I called it. Others call it Gobeska (SPELL?), the god tree. Whenever I felt unwanted, uncared for, worthless, or just plain afraid, I'd come here and feel loved, wanted, cared for, and safe. I think of this place, this sanctuary, as my home. Not the hellhole of a house where my "parent" lives; the place where most people think I resides.
Flashback
Since the time I could walk, talk, and understand what happened in my life, I knew I needed a place, a hideout to call home. One day, when I was 12 and when I ran away from home again, I ran into a boy about my age standing by a great tree in the middle of a forest near my "home".
He asked, "Why are you crying? Please don't cry. Mommy cries all the time and she doesn't tell me why."
I didn't see what he looked like until I looked up. He was breathtakingly handsome. He had amber eyes, silver hair, and the cutest fluffy thingy ever.
"Kawia," I said, and then I ran to him and stopped about an inch from him. "May I touch it?" I asked. He was surprised needless to say.
But after he got over his dupe state, he said, "Sure, but be careful. My youkino is really sensitive." He seemed glad that I wasn't crying anymore.
When he was leaning over, I hugged him. "Thank you," I whispered. Then I let go, but he held me as I moved my hands up and began to pet softly his furry thing. He started to nuzzle my neck and he moved closer to me. He also started to purr.
