Swinging hips to side,
My savior dances,
Golden silk surrounds her glowing features
Hovering above her purest of skin.
Sing-song lines draw from her lips
And gradually brush against my eyes.
I cannot smile, for she has taken this moment as her own!
She is the center, the light, the life,
My life.
All I do is stare on as she caresses my wounded soul,
Tainted by the darkest of unknown filth of this world.
I doubt not her powers,
But whether I can really change.
She offers me a stern yet handsome smile
As light begins to consume my darkness.
Her glow slowly dims from her face
And I reach up in protest.
I assure her I can do it,
I can carry the burden of darkness,
Of what worth am I to receive life?
She promises to rest, now
And nothing pleased me more.
Yet, when I saw her again
She was consumed by my darkness
No longer was she shrouded in the finest of silks,
But in tattered, mud-soaked rags.
Her body was stiff and unmoving,
Her hair sprawled out to her side.
Lifeless eyes stared back to me
As I could do nothing but stand in shock.
My dearest being, this state did not suit you.
I told you to relax and not worry,
I could do your bidding to the world's end
If only you'd allow me to protect your existence.
In the midst of my wretchedness,
I glimpsed a light rolling out from your hand.
It was my soul
It was blackened no more,
But filled with a shimmering glimmer.
I gently touch it, her warmth enveloping my entity.
Leaning down, I brush my lips against her darkness
My savior
My life-provider
You need not worry,
For I am the light, now.
