"Okay, really, it's not that bad. Just try it." Emma plopped on the corner of Regina's dek, stretching her arm out with an open bottle of cool root beer in hand.
Regina turned her nose up in disgust and leaned back in her chair. "I have no interest in letting even a drop of that vile substance touch my tongue."
Emma gave her a playful glare. "Come on, it's time to celebrate! You freed the fairies, you deserve a little bit of indulgence."
"I would hardly call root beer an indulgence." Regina deadpanned.
Emma chuckled and swiftly took Regina's hand. She gasped, looking up to the blonde's face as she wrapped the mayor's hand around the bottle, dampening her palm with tiny droplets of condensation.
"Try it." Emma nodded encouragingly. "I bet you'll like it."
Regina brought the mouth of the bottle to her nose and inhaled, pulling back immediately and wrinkling her nose at the stench. "Do I have to?" She asked pleadingly.
Emma nodded and giggled, spinning around so that she faced the woman, tucking her feet beneath her thighs. Regina glowered up at the amused blonde as she brought the bottle to her lips and tilted it back into her mouth, swallowing and wrenching it away from her mouth. She smacked her lips quietly, shaking her head as she teasingly reassured Emma. "Vile."
They both giggled and Emma jokingly punched Regina's shoulder. "You know you like it, you just won't admit that it is amazing"
Regina shook her head, attempting to harden her face multiple times before finally wiping the smile away and speaking. "No, it was more revolting than I could ever imagine."
"Whatever. Root beer is the best. You're just too high and mighty to admit something that wasn't over-priced isn't delicious." She hopped off of the desk and took the bottle from Regina's hand.
"It doesn't hurt me anyway," Emma shrugged. "All I get is more root beer for me!" She took a healthy chug from the bottle. Regina stood from her chair and sashayed to the other side of the desk, looking the woman straight in the eye.
"I," Regina spat, "Am not 'high and mighty," She made air quotes with her fingers. "I just don't like the flavor. I can literally taste the cheap quality and pure sugar."
Emma rolled her eyes. "Don't get defensive; I'm just trying to state that you know you love it."
Regina yanked the bottle from Emma's hand and downed the remaining contents, taking a hard gulp as she drained the last drop.
Emma raised her eyebrows as her chin dropped to the floor. "Whoa..."
"Fine," Regina whirled around, strutting to the rash can and tossing the bottle into it. "I did enjoy it, but not enough to ever drink it again."
Emma laughed, rolling her eyes and following the queen outside to her car.
"And just for the record," Regina whirled around, landing herself inches from the blonde once more, "A queen.. will indulge upon whatever she likes."
