Dragon Team, Recapture of reach

Cobra smiled, relaxing in his bunk, the mission to recapture Reach was a success. He was not surprised however; Dragon team had never failed in a mission, no matter how difficult. His team were taking a well-deserved rest, they never fully took off their armor, and Crystal; an Air Assault Spartan, whose armor sported the white and gold colors of Dragon team; and Luna, a Scout Spartan whose armor sported the same coloring, slept across the bridge. Slowly, he too, fell fast asleep.

Master Chief, Pillar of autumn

Chief Stood in his cryo tube as it deactivated. He stepped out as an artificial voice addressed him.

"Wake up sleeping beauty!" Cortana said appearing before him. "We are entering the atmosphere of a planet that seems inhabited." She added, reading Chief's grunt as a question of where they were.

Elrond, Rivendell before Frodo's Awakening

Elrond looked at the sky, as he had done many times before. Suddenly, two streaks of light flashed into view, growing larger. A defining roar arose, and two small metallic rocks smashed into the courtyard. I must see the meaning of this. He grumbled as he walked down a long flight of stairs. when he reached the bottom of the stairs, He saw two large, metallic shapes.

The impact of hitting the ground threw us out of our bunks and onto the floor, Defiantly not the best landing, our awakening for that matter. I thought, throwing our heavy-weapons specialist, who we called Heavy for convenience, off of my leg.

"alright ladies, gear up and meet outside, we've got some recon to do." I shouted, everyone else snapping to attention.

Chief

Chief unlocked his armor and retrieved an SMG from the rubble, finding an energy sword next to it. He magnetized them both to his thighs, and walked over to the terminal that he had placed Cortana into, which, given the condition of the rest of the ship, it was miraculously preserved completely intact. The AI materialized above it.

"Yank me." she ordered, Chief didn't move, "We're on a planet that isn't on any of the star maps of the UNSC. We need to find a way back, and that involves doing some recon." Cortana explained, reasonably irritated.

After some time, Chief had dug his way out of the wreckage of the Dawn and he saw several dots on his HUD. Cortana appeared in a small window in the top left corner.

"Friendlies? Here?" She exclaimed. "Chief, we need to check this out."

"Weapons hold!" A voice ordered as they rounded the corner of debris. Five Spartans, their white armor easily visible in the night, stood, all their weapons aimed at him. "Name and rank soldier, better make it quick." one said, his saw pointed at Chief's visor.

"Petty officer John-117, The Master Chief." Replied Chief, meeting the saw with his SMG. Chief's HUD labeled the class of Spartans they were, probably courtesy of Cortana. The HAZOP stepped forward.

"Lieutenant Colonel Cobra-5913, leader of Dragon Team." He said, his youthful voice still carrying an authoritative tone. The Air assault behind him, obviously a girl, stepped forward and saluted.

"Lieutenant Christal-9634, Sir!" She said, as the other girl, a Recon Spartan, stepped forward.

"Captain Luna-1535, Sir!" She said, also saluting. The EVA marched forward, cocking his shotgun.

"Corporal Christopher-1753, call me Heavy sir." he said bluntly. The Hayabusa stepped forward quietly and nodded.

"Captain Scorpion-1645" He said, Chief noticed that he held no katana.

"Where's your weapon soldier?" he asked, in reply, Scorpion flipped out two energy swords and activated them.

Suddenly all the Spartans whipped around, their weapons drawn. A tall man, richly dressed, stood behind them, a small smile on his face.

"Welcome to Rivendell Spartans." He said, bowing. "I am Lord Elrond of the elves, if you wish, you can stay in the main hall." He added, pointing to a large building.

The Spartans complied, Dragon team packing what they thought would be useful into the large room, which had several beds. On the far end of the room, a kid, looking about twelve, was laying on the bed, his friend staying by his side. Dragon team dropped their gear before going over their weapons, especially Luna, whose Sniper Rifle was packed with customisations.

The next morning, Elrond had asked Chief and the others to help a Hobbit named Frodo get a powerful weapon to a volcano on the opposite side of their known world. After hearing the atrocities of the war that had temporarily defeated Saron, they agreed.

They stood behind another elf, whose name was Legolas, a dwarf, who was called Gimli, Strider, his actual name was Aragorn, Another human, Borimir, captain of Gondor, and the rest of the hobbits, Mary, Pippin, and Samwise. As Elrond bid them farewell, the six super soldiers threw supplies onto the the pony. after a few days, they had set camp on top of a large mountain. The wizard Gandalf, who the Spartans didn't remember being there before, laid out his plan to get them to Mordor.

"We'll take the pass south of here, then Stop at Gondor to resupply." Legolas stood, pointing at what seemed to be a cloud. Immediately, everyone scrambled to hide, the Spartans sat quietly on the rocks, the flock of birds speeding past them and returning from whence they came. "The southern pass is being watched, we must take the Pass of Caradhras!" Gandalf said, turning towards the mountain behind them. After several hours of trudging through the snow, Frodo tripped, rolling down the hill. Aragorn Caught him before he went past him and the Spartans, Frodo felt his chest, as if looking for something. When he didn't find anything, he looked up to find Borimir holding a ring, which hung on a silver chain.

"We go through so much trouble…" he said, eyeing it greedily. "for such a little thing."

"Borimir!" Aragorn Shouted, ripping his attention from the ring. "Give the ring to Frodo." The spartains watched as the Captian of Gondor gave the halfling the chain and the ring. As Chief walked past him, he heard him mumbling about not caring about the fellowship's quest and vowing to take the ring for his own.

Cobra marched past the others, quickly catching up to Gandalf, who was leading them across the mountain. Unlike the rest of his squad, with the possible exception of Scorpion, he was given extra training in tundra-like enviroments. Legolas shouted somthing, but the super soldiers were unable to hear over the wind that tore at the other members' robes and cloaks. A large portion of snow and rock suddenly tumbled onto the fellowship, a particualry large boulder carreined towards Heavy, who caught it and threw it aside as if it were little more than an annoyence. Luna couldn't help but mutter that he was just showing off as she helped dig Merry and Pippin out of the snow. Heavy, who was a good foot taller than the other spartians due to the extra cybernetic enhancements he had recived At JericoVII, truged over to Gimli and pulled the dwarf out of the snow with one arm.

"Sir, I think we should head for another route, if you or the hobbits stay on this mountain much longer, you're going to catch some nasty frost bite." Cobra said, expressing his annoyence as more snow fell on top of the party, undoing the efforts to free themselves of the freezing powder.

"The Spartian is right, we must get off the mountain, this will be the death of the Hobbits!"

Borimir agreed, shouting as loud as he could to be heard over the still howling wind.

" And I assume you have a better plan?" Christal argued.

" We should make for the Gap of Rohan!" Borimir countered, his gaze never leaving Gandalf.

" The Gap of Rohan takes us too close to Isengaurd!" Came Aragorn's voice, though his form was hardly visable to the spartains due to the snow in the air and the clusters gathering on their visors.

"If we cannot go over the mountian, then let us go under it, Let us go through the Mines of Moria."

Gimli piped up.

"We better make a decision fast, we won't last much longer at this rate!" Luna said, shaking herself free of the snow.

Gandalf's face grew fearful as he suddenly turned and lead the fellowship back down the mountain.
