A/N – I'm doing it again aren't? Starting a new story when my others aren't even finished. *sigh* I'm hopeless, but the new Chapter for my ATLA Fic Chasing Her is almost done, I'm just having a major writers block, I semi know where I'm head but… you know.

I've just come off crutches also, I was in an accident a few weeks ago, more like the last time I updated anything, almost three months ago. It was a stupid sports accident, so stupid but my weeks were bed rest, physiotherapy sessions and blisters from crutches, but I'm back just taking a short break from the ATLA Universe.

Chapter 1, an Angel on Your Grave.

Somewhere in Magnolia…

Sheer lilac material enveloped her suspended body, the moon's celestial glow purged most of the darkness, leaving only ominous shadows shadows; their inky forms slinking across the floor. The moon's reflection shone amongst tiny silver, lavender and gold tiny octagonal shaped particle behind, they resembled fairy dust in the dream of a child. Bitingly cold wind coming through the open window allowed the particles to fly about the room, but with it, it carried the scent of death.

Her silhouette continued to dance on the wall, it looked like one of an angel; her hands clasped in prayer made one wonder, was there a God? Or had she prayed for mercy with her last breath?.

She resembled something celestial, like a fallen star. But this wasn't a Fairy Tale, and this Angel wouldn't go back to heaven. No, she was more fitting on a grave.

Cameras continued to flash in Lucy's Face as she posed with a life sized cardboard cut-out of herself. This was sort of annoying, she loathed parties, but she had to grin and bear it right? For that was the price of fame. She didn't mean to be big headed or anything, but they were at the presentation of Lucy's newest book 'Hale Storm', and she had been on the list of the most top 10 eligible bachelorettes for 10 years running. She wasn't at the top obviously not since there were many women far more beautiful than she, but that had to count for something right? She had sort of a right to be the tiniest bit conceited. She worked hard for her fame and glory, without using her father's own wealth and fame as a stepping stone.

Lucy deserved to be free and wild, even if her upbringing prohibited it. She was 25 for spirits sake, she deserved to party. It was one night, what's the worst that could happen, she lets loose and somebody gets killed? Fat Chance smiled Lucy as she continued signing an unknown man's abs.

Daybreak filtered over the horizon as men and women alike clustered around a modish apartment, they seemed to give off an unwavering amount of determination and confidence as well as an underlying tone of confusion; these people, however, were less than incompetent, they were Fairy Tail. Lingering around the inside of the building, an azure haired woman closed a window which had been left open overnight; she kneeled to examine the corpse which had been set on the floor; making sure not to get crimson flakes of dried blood on her scrubs or ivory white lab coat. Mahogany eyes searched the body of lifeless amethyst ones. Rapidly she began to rummage through items of the victim, her clothes, furniture, everything she could find. Obstinate on seeking evidence, seeking answers.

"Who are you?" The ME whispered. She was Levy McGarden, the medical examiner at the 13th Precinct, otherwise known as Fairy Tail. The scene, however familiar didn't leave her with any answere, she sighed. Sher noted that the unfortunate victim had been draped like a shooting star; rigormortis had obviously already set in, the young lady's hands were stuck, clasped together in prayer, long white hair tousled. She looked like a fallen star, or an angel, maybe. Levy smiled softly, hm an angel.

"What's your connection to Lucy?" She sighed softly, continuing to examine the body.

"Levy, You ID the vic yet?" A male voice asked.

"Yes. Sorano Aguria, 20 years old, Grad Student at Oracion Academy and Part of the Social work program" She informed the detective.

"Nice place for a Social worker" Said Detective Noted

"Daddy's money" One of the uniforms chimed.

"Yeah. Neighbours called to complain about the music. When she didn't answer, they had the Super check on her and, well." An Investigator reported, gesturing to the body.

"There's no sign of struggle, so he knew her…" Detective said.

"And Beside stars our culprit, gave her these" Levy said, moving the shawl to reveal two gunshot wounds. "Two small calibre gunshot wounds, to the chest. I've seen this before." Levy said, gaining everyone's attention. She knew they were all dumbfounded and grinned.

"Wrapped in a shawl? Hands clasped in prayer? Don't you guys read?" She said, confusing Precinct 13 even further.

The detective smiled in recognition.

"Coco, have a drink please? Come on let loose" Lucy laughed, at Coco who is seemingly studying for a test. She will not be diverted.

"Sorry Princess, I need to study, I may have an old soul, but I am just 15, I can wait till I'm of legal age, Pri-" Coco began to say until she noticed that Lucy was no longer paying attention but dancing rather vulgarly on the dance floor. Coco gave a wry smile, she'd come to support Lucy, her make shift older sister, like she had done thousands of times before.

"Princess we-" Coco started again until she was interrupted by a "Just call me Lucy!" Coco sweat dropped, a wry smile on her face, she couldn't look anymore.

"We'll talk when you're sober," She said dryly. "Lucy" She smiled softly. Lucy had really always been there for her.

As Coco turned back to her books, she noticed a male toward the entrance. A smidgen to serious t be a partygoer but Coco dismissed him, if he wasn't then why else would he be here? Not the most appropriate place for a business deal.

The man had salmon hair, and trouble maker's eyes but his face uninterested. He introduced himself to her as Natsu and asked for Lucy. Oh, then maybe he was an enigma fan, a slightly creepy but intriguing fan, Coco had seen many of those, and they mostly belonged to Lucy. She was a Mystery Adventure novelist after all, she just seemed to attract enigmas.

Natsu walked toward Lucy who was, thank the spirits, chatting at a table. At least she looked presentable, even if the whole table was a bunch of guys whose abs she was signing.

Natsu grinned at Lucy winningly, and reached into his pocket.

"Authoress Lucille H. You'll be coming with me" Natsu spoke as he showed off his badge.

The box was dull. Grey.

Lucy sighed, she had been taken in for questioning, and she still didn't know why. She looked toward the mirror, which she knew was linked to the observation room. Countless of her novels proved that. Now she was just waiting for a damn explanation as to why she was here. Hopefully Coco had found her way home safely. She glared fiercely toward the mirror, smiling when she felt a shiver.

"So, Lucille." Natsu began, a file in hands.

"Lucy," The Author substituted, "Lucille is my, nom de plume" She told him.

"Okay, Luigi" Natsu started again. "You're such a weirdo, why not just use your real name like normal-" Natsu asked, stopping as he met Lucy's scary glare.

"Oh, Uh as I was saying, you have quite the rap sheet for a bestselling author, as yourself" Natsu chuckled scanning the file. "Says here you stole a Bull?" He laughed, and her reaction was priceless too.

"It followed me, okay?" She shrieked.

"I heard it was found at your place, whilst you were nude?" He questioned, once again. Gosh, Luigi really was weird, he just might like her. Although, who names their daughter Luigi?

"I was in the bath, when it hopped through my window! And then the police busted in!" Lucy protested, flustered and still shrieking.

"Charges were dropped? Weird since you tried to molest a bull" Natsu laughed

"I DID NOT!" Lucy fumed. "But Charges were dropped because I bought the guy." She said, rubbing the bridge of her nose. Mavis, wasn't he annoying.

"Okay but seriously," Natsu said, as he showed Lucy a picture of two people. One a beautiful white haired woman. Familiar. The other, long haired and ginger, a pleasant smile on his face.

"Sorano Aguria. Former Street Name Angel and Richard Buchanan, Former street name, Hoteye. Both former gang members who tried to wipe away their past and help other kids like them. Have you met either before? Signings? Book readings? Anything?" Natsu asked

Lucy thought hard and after a while, she answered. "Can't say I have, Sorano looks familiar, but I've never met her before. I'm completely sure of that."

Natsu placed two pictures of crime scenes on the table. Lucy recognised them immediately.

"Both were found like in your books. Sorano like in An Angel on your Grave, and Richard like in Coined Over. The attention to detail, is amazing, completely accurate. Even the date, temperature, and lighting is perfect. The only detail they missed was the year" Natsu explained his nose scrunching cutely as his eyes widened slightly.

"Looks like I have a fan," Lucy observed coyly.

"Yeah, a deranged one" Natsu agreed, to which Lucy said; "You certainly don't look deranged." A small smirk visible on her lips.

"What?" Natsu asked, confused.

"Coined Over? Con artists drowned in melted down money and angry victims out for blood? Only Diehard fans have read that" She smiled.

"Have any of these *cough* fak-"Natsu began stopping in his tracks as Lucy glared "fans, ever written you disturbing letters?" He sighed, upset his joke had been intercepted, killjoy.

"A lot of them are disturbing, occupational hazard. But you don't reckon the killer would-" Lucy started

"Attempt to contact the subject of his obsession, you? Yes. Another occupational hazard?" He grinned "And do you know you have nice eyes Luigi?" He complimented absentmindedly, causing Lucy to blush.

"My name's Lucy, you dolt" she protested softly.

"I take it you wouldn't mind if we went through your mail?" Natsu asked flashing a charming smile.

"Whatever, knock yourself out." Lucy said huffing as she stood up to leave. She should have known he wanted something.

"I always wanted to join, Fairy Tail as a kid." She mused, and then she was gone. Leaving a flushed Natsu in her wake.

"Oh, uh could I have copies of those?" Lucy asks, sheepishly, gesturing toward the photographs.

"Copies?" Natsu repeated.

"Uptown Girl!" Was what, Natsu was greeted by when he got home. Demon Mirajane, dancing around his living room.

"Mira! What are you doing here?" Natsu asked tiredly as he yawned. She never visited, let alone to sing corny classics.

"She been living in her Uptown world!" She carried on singing and dancing, ignoring Natsu's question.

"I bet she never had a backstreet guy" She sang loudly, gesturing to Natsu. "Bet her mama never told her why" She giggled. Pulling out a picture of Lucy.

"You're gonna try… For an Uptown Girl!" She finished throwing the picture at Natsu.

"What's your point Mira?" Natsu asked holding the picture gently. Mira proceeded to take it from him and answered him.

"You liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike her" She giggled again as Natsu left huffing. In the kitchen Natsu found his little sister Wendy studying. She'd been living with him ever since their parents died.

"Wendy! You're missing the late night Mira show" He grinned.

"I already saw the previews," Wendy answered dryly not even looking up from her studies. Wendy was Mature for her age, having studied hard and skipped a grade, her innocence fading and being replaced with dry humour, either that or she was going through a phase. How Natsu hated those.

Natsu fakes an awful gasp. "Wendy, it's after midnight on a school night, don't you turn into a pumpkin or something?" He joked, juggling miscellaneous fruits.

"Ha-ha, not when my brother arrests my favourite author today. How was she?" Wendy asked dreamily as she put away her homework.

"Weird, someone's been killing people the way she killed them in her books" Natsu replied.

"Come on, Natsu. I've seen you pick up one of her books, you didn't find her weird at all. Mira over there just proves my point." Wendy grinned, as she opened the door the living room and they heard a shrill "Uptown Girl". Wendy turned back 'round to a lightly flushed Natsu, spitting out fits of denial.

As he regained his composure Natsu muttered something under his breath.

"It's senseless"

Wendy gave him a look. "Yeah Natsu, murder usually is." She informed him.

"No. Murder usually makes a great deal of sense. Passion, greed, politics. What's senseless here is the books that the killer chose. An Angel on Your Grave? Coined Over? Even, Lucy claimed only her groupies read that one, it was truly one of her lesser works. You know… Why would a deranged fan choose those" He explained deep in thought as he looked at her.

"Because, they're deranged" She said, and then she grinned "So it's Lucy now huh? And you admit to reading her books too?" Wendy smirked

"Bye Wendy! Going to bed, love you" Natsu yelled as he sped up the stairs of their house. Flustered. He didn't like Lucy. She was too weird, and they weren't friends either. Stupid Wendy and Mirajane.

THUD

Slightly startled Natsu looked up from his desk to see a scarlet haired demon- um sorry, beautiful woman, drop a bunch of books at his workplace, catching the attention of other detectives and investigators in the vicinity. They had a murder to solve. So why was she throwing books on to his desk? Was she really that bored? The woman, was one of the most well-known and accomplished detectives around. She was Erza Scarlet, best at the 13th Precinct (otherwise known as Fairy Tail). She was Titania, Queen of the Fairies. Yeah she was all that, whatever. But Natsu was still confused as to why she was handing out those books like they were candy, and he could tell the others were somewhat bewildered too.

"Erza, what are these?" Natsu asked, not even bothering to pick up one of the books.

"Lucille H.'s greatest hits. Where going to familiarize ourselves with all her books, so we have a better idea of where our killer is going to strike next. Come one everyone, two people are already dead, we don't need more on our hands.

"Looks like you're a fan, huh?" Natsu grinned at Erza, who just smirked.

"Actually Natsu, Wendy brought them in saying they were from you." She informed him smugly, as some of the precinct began to laugh. Natsu reading?

Natsu just grumbled, "Those sure as hell ain't mine, and her books aren't even that great" He said.

"But you still read every single one, didn't you?" Erza retaliated, that smug grin still on her face

"Whatever, I had to proof read them for Wendy. Who else is gonna do it?" He complained.

"Oh you read every sing one!?" A voice squealed, it was Levy the resident ME.

"Lu-Chan will be happy to hear that! She's taken quite a liking to you, you know." Levy grinned

"Oh, Lu-Chan? You didn't even see her when I had her in the box! How d'you guys become bff's?" Natsu exclaimed.

"Lucy and I were childhood friends silly!" She smiled. "She really does find you intriguing though, she's interested" Lucy told him, surprising everyone. A girl interested in Natsu? A pretty one? Seeing the looks of confusion on their faces Levy laughed, especially on Natsu's. "As a muse, more like" She laughed.

That just confused everyone even more. Natsu!?

"Anyway" Erza interrupted, her authoritative voice ringing through the precinct. "Somewhere in these books our vics are connected. Find it" She said.

Natsu huffed. Why would someone like Luigi get this much mail? Ugh.

"Aw, can't carry a bag of mail pyro?" Gray sneered, at Natsu who was being drowned in Lucy's mail.

"Shame a bombshell like Lucille H. finds you intriguing." Gray said sifting through the some of the letters. "Is this all her mail? Damn" Gray mumbled.

"No! This is just the first bag ice pick" Natsu heaved, saving himself from being engulfed by the pile of fan mail. Gray whistled.

"I know" Natsu agreed.

"You hear back from the lab?" Gray asked him.

"Yeah" Natsu replied. "Scene was void of DNA, just like Buchanan, guy's cautious" Natsu informed him, grabbing a handful of his own pile of letters from Lucy's mail to sift through.

"What about your end? Aguria and Buchanan, any connection?" Natsu questioned.

"Other than your girl here? Nada" Gray sighed. Then he looked wolf whistling as he spotted said girl having a discussion with their Captain, Makarov Dreyar. "Speak of the devil and the devil appears" He commented, turning back to Natsu, but he was already on his way to where stood.

"Hello son," Makarov grinned, "Lucille here has agreed to lend us her services on this case." The Captain explained. Then he looked to her and smiled. "Welcome to Fairy Tail, child."

Natsu grinned "Yo".

A/N – I wanted to carry on, but I was afraid it would drag on and be too boring. Sorry the characters are so OOC, I'll fix it I promise, please read and review, I hope you like it Because I stopped here the next chapter might be a bit short, but I'm planning to do three chapter per case, by the end of this I'm hoping to have 30 chapters marking one year of them working together perhaps? And then that's where the fun begins. Hm, Gray sort of appeared out of nowhere and Levy disappeared suddenly, sorry about that. Not only do I have a crap title but, an even worse summary too. Sorry, sorry, sorry!

All my love,

Blossom.
