Barking up the wrong tree
Sometimes Arthur forgot that Merlin was very good at magic and annoying him too much was never a good idea. Especial when he, Merlin and the knights went to the Traven for a couple of drinks.
It ended up with Arthur being turn into a dog.
Only Gwaine found it funny.
Merlin wasn't sure how he done it or how to turn Arthur back. So Arthur bite him.
When they all got to Gaius chambers and explained to the old man what had happen Gaius wasn't amused. He pull down a large book and gave it to Merlin to find a counter spell. Merlin sat down to look though it... for a long time.
"woof" said Arthur trying to tell Merlin to hurry up
"Shut up, Arthur" said Merlin
"Woof" barked Arthur again
"I can't concentrate if your barking at me" said Merlin "Unless you want to be stuck as a dog forever then shut up"
Arthur didn't take kindly to Merlin tell him what to do so bite him again. Elyan though it was best to informal his sister what had happen and took Arthur with him as prove.
Gwen didn't know what to say. She had warned Arthur not to wind Merlin up too much. She hope Merlin would be able to turn her husband back.
Arthur wasn't too happy it was almost as bad as his donkey ears... almost
It wasn't long before Leon and Percival come back with a cat.
"Merlin thought he find the right spell" stated Percival
"But he got turn into a cat" said Leon
"Gaius is looking for a spell to make them talk"
Arthur desire he had a excused to chased Merlin now. Before anyone could stop him he run at Merlin, who scratched Leon on the face to let him go and they run down the hall way and down the stairs. Merlin was fast for a cat, faster than Arthur anyway. Arthur chased Merlin outside the gates where Merlin run up a tree.
Arthur couldn't climbed trees like a cat. So instead to bark up a tree making a fool of himself but no one knew he was the king.
Merlin mange to get into another tree without Arthur knowing and jump down, he try to get to the gate when the knights and Gwen come. Gwaine picked Merlin up. "I always wanted a cat" said Gwaine Merlin hissed
"Arthur doesn't realised Merlin not there any more dose he" said Elyan
"Talk about barking up the wrong tree" said Leon amused "Gwaine take Merlin back to Gaius chambers I'll take Arthur"
Back in Gaius chambers Gaius did a spell to make Arthur and Merlin talk to each other.
"I so going to put you in the dungeon for this" said Arthur
"I like to see you try" said Merlin
"Lets just get you in the right bodies" said Gwen "Before anyone realised the king is a dog"
After some time Elyan find the right spell. Merlin jumped on the the table to look at it.
"I was begin the enjoy being a cat" said Merlin as little disappointed
"Just say the spell you twit" said Arthur
"Fine" said Merlin saying the spell and before the other realized it Merlin and Arthur were normal again.
"I am so going to kill you Merlin" said Arthur
"Well if you try I turn you into a frog" said Merlin "Or a donkey or a worm and I be dead and can't change you back"
Arthur looked at Merlin darkly "I think you need another week training with George, work on how you show respects" Arthur walked out of the room
" He's barking mad" said Merlin "He doesn't like bootlickers"
