I've been trying to get back into fan-fiction, so yeah.. This is just a quick written idea, I might try to advance on it if my dry stream of ideas becomes a full-fledged river again.
Hope's Power
Prologue
The Beggining
"Hey, c'mon Jolt, we're going to be late for school!" an Eevee called out to a Pikachu.
"Mmrph...," the Pikachu grumbled back, still asleep in his bed. The Eevee tried calling to him a few more times before getting frustrated and tackled the Pikachu in the stomach.
"Ow! Okay, I'm awake, I'm awake..," Jolt replied. He was a normal male Pikachu; his tail was zig-zagged, he was yellow, black tips on his ears. The only thing that set him apart from a wild one was that he was wearing a hat he had found one day in the forest.
"Why are you such a hurry to get to Pokeschool, anyway?" Jolt questioned the Eevee.
"Well, as you know, I've gotten a perfect attendence award for three years straight and...," the Eevee replied, and chattered on for a while until Jolt interrupted mid-sentence.
"Y'know, this isn't really helping you get to school faster..," the Pikachu grinned, "Let's go, Erika."
And so, the two Pokémon set off on their short trek to school, not knowing that it was their first steps on a great adventure..
"Hey, Jolt, why are you so lazy all the time?" Erika asked the Pikachu as they walked toward Mudkip Middle School.
"I'm not.. I clean my stuff up and I do what people ask me to do, don't I?" Jolt replied.
"Well, I guess that's true, but you don't really do it one hundred percent, you know?" Erika replied. "Look at me, I'm a totally perfect worker."
Erika was a lighter shade of brown than usual, but her mane and tail were whiter than normal Eevees, too. Not only that, she also wore a ribbon on her head, and she was almost always smiling.
She was wearing one of her smiles right now. "Well, I guess it's okay at long as the job is done, right?"
Jolt thought of her as an over-acheiver. Always working hard, getting good grades and always being optimistic. He just did what he had to do; anything optional, he usually skipped unless he really wanted or needed to do it.
"Well, we're here!" Erika said as they reached the front gate of the school. "I'll see you after school ends, alright?"
"Yeah, alright. We'll meet here, I guess," Jolt suggested as they parted ways to their seperate classes.
"Who can tell me what the answer is to this problem? Jolt?" the Wigglytuff teacher asked aloud.
"Um, is it nine?" Jolt replied, guessing the answer to the math problem on the board.
"Sigh.. Jolt, it's a five times five, how can it be nine? I wish you would pay attention more," the Wigglytuff said over the snickers of the class. Jolt sunk into his chair and looked out the window, seeing something outside.
Something then exploded outside of the building.
Well, that was the prologue. Hope you've enjoyed.
