Note: A friend came up with this idea of Cas and the bicycle riding with Scott. This is for a crossover LJ RP known as Angels and Asses/Silent Jersey.

In hindsight, the bicycle didn't seem like a bad idea. Of course, Scott didn't expect him to get all giddy over it. When he knocked on the door and the hippy-like man greeted him, Scott pushed the dark blue bicycle forward with a half smile.

"What's that?" Cas asked curiously.

The shaggy haired mutant looked at him curiously. "What's it look like?"

Cas crossed his arms, frowning as he studied the vehicle. "I've seen it before, but I can't remember the name."

Scott hung his head for a moment, trying to hold back a laugh. He figured as much, due to the fact that everyone knew he was rarely with it when he wandered around the hospital. "It's a bicycle Cas." Shooting him a pointed look, Scott pushed the bike forward and bumped it against his scruffy friend's foot. "I figured you could use one."

"You're giving me it?" There was questioning shock on Cas' face as he used a hand to scratch at his dark unruly hair.

"Well, yeah… Alex has one already he uses for school and stuff, and I have my car now…"

A grin spread onto Cas' face. "I'll take it." He grabbed the handlebars, leaning forward to invade Scott's personal space with a smile.

"Hold on a second. Have you even ridden one before?"

"Yeah. Loads of times." He was serious as he spoke, turning the smile into a smirk. Scott knew his smirks usually meant something else and raised an eyebrow. "Okay, so I haven't."

He couldn't help but smile at this. "I'll teach you. C'mon." Scott let go of the bicycle and nodded behind him, watching Cas try to maneuver it to turn around so he could follow. It took everything in him not to laugh.

Thankfully, the terrain in the state had some pretty good hills. Scott ventured around many of them in the mornings on runs and thought it was only fitting to teach him the same way he taught his younger brother. "Ready?"

"Are you sure this is gonna work?"

"Yeah. Trust me." Scott was holding onto the back of the bicycle as Cas was sitting timidly on the seat. "On the count of three. One, two…" He didn't even say three before letting go of the bike and the vehicle took Cas flying down the small hill.

Scott watched in amusement as he shouted until he got to the bottom and tumbled off the bike into the grass. He walked down and offered a hand to help him up. Cas took it, letting out a breath and grinning from ear to ear. "That was scary, but fun. I like it."

"That's not the normal reaction to that… Then again, you're not exactly a normal human," he chuckled. Scott also took notice of the dilation in the ex-angel's eyes, which would explain why he thought the experience was fun.

Cas picked up the bicycle and asked, "Try again?"

"Go for it. I'll wait here to help you up."

A nod was Cas' answer as he hurried the bike back up the hill. Scott sat down in the grass, waiting for the next tumble down the hill. It was gonna be a long day.
