Hair
"Daddy! We're gonna be late!" Haley Reese yelled at her father. She loved school, especially her first grade teacher.
"Good hair takes time," he said, flipping a comb in her hair. The bathroom filled with giggles, and Logan kept grooming his daughter's hair to perfection.
"Good thing Mommy had to cover Miss Lisa's shift this morning, cause she would be yellin' at you, and you would be sleepin' on the couch tonight." On the wall outside the door, the clock was about to strike nine. First grade started at eight-twenty five on the dot. But still, Logan Reese could not be convinced to leave until Haley's hair was perfect. His motto was 'Everything can wait for your hair'. The only thing that couldn't was his wedding to Quinn.
"Aaaand, done!" The girl hopped down from the counter, and grabbed her backpack and lunchbox, and followed her father out to his silver Jaguar. They raced all the way to (go figure) Albert Einstein Elementary School. Logan grabbed his daughter's hand and they raced into the building.
"Mr. Reese, you know we have a zero-tolerance policy on tardiness," the secretary, Ms. Gretchen drawled, peering up at Logan with her hawk-like grey eyes from under her glasses.
"Yes, I know, but maybe you'll reconsider?" he smiled charmingly, and slipped a crisp fifty onto her desk.
"Just this once I will let it slide." Logan and Haley cheered, as he swung her high above his head, kissed her forehead and set her back down. She raced off to class, laughing hysterically.
"Bye, Daddy! Love you!" was the last thing he heard, echoing down the halls. He smiled, and strolled casually out of the building.
Haha, I am watching Lola Likes Chase, and he was giving Dustin a makeover, and thus this was born! Leave me your feedback, and check out my other Zoey 101 stories while you're at it!
