A dull thunking sound could be heard coming from the basement of the house, paired with the occasional music change. Tony Stark sighed, rolling his eyes.
"She misses you."
He said, giving the woman in front of him a Look.
"I know," Natasha replied. "My job-"
"I know. She knows." Tony cut her off, ignoring the threatening look he was receiving. "She misses you." He reiterated.
It was Natasha's turn to sigh. Then she nodded. "Tony, I know with your dad-"
Tony cut Natasha off again. "She misses you." He gestured, his hands shaking. Tony moved to pour a drink, to cover up his shaking. Silence hung in the air, until Natasha nodded, clearing her throat.
"I'm going to go see her."
Tony set his glass down with a clunk, and felt the cold glass, trying to keep himself as cool as the ice he was drowning his misery in.
Natasha reached the basement door as another Fall Out Boy song started, and immediately after she opened the door, Natasha covered her ears, reaching to turn the music down. The music turned down, the girl in the middle of the room sighed, throwing her last knife.
"There Tony. I'm done." The girl said, gesturing to the target at the other end of the room. The target had four knives in it, each in a different spot. Natasha smiled, looking at the clock hands her sister had made on the target. Alex had always needed a challenge.
"Aren't knives a no-no after nine?"
Alex whipped around, and her eyes lit up.
"Nattie?!"
Alex ran across the room, and hugged Natasha as tightly as possible.
"I missed you, little one." Natasha whispered, and closed her eyes, savoring the embrace.
