"You ok, Jer?"

Jerry's head lifted up at the voice that he heard. Spotting that it was Alexandra, the youngest spy in his trio of super agents he smiled before remembering he had been crying. He brushed his tears away and was going to hide his wedding ring in a drawer but she saw him before he could do it.

"Oh I knew it! You're still upset aren't you Jer?"

Jerry felt shame on his face and he look down to hide from her eyes. He thought it would be easy to pretend like Merna hadn't meant nothing to him but it did not seem to be working on Alexandra, even though Samantha and Clover seemed to think he was okay now. But she had meant something.

For the first time in his very lonely life he had been married. She turned out to only be using him to steal his company but he felt betrayed in other ways. If she had only really liked him, then he would not be lonely anymore. But she hadn't like him and only wanted his agency. she wasn't even sorry for what she did and he felt wretched and used and stupid.

Seeing Jerry about to cry again Alexandra rubbed her hair shyly trying to think of what she should say to help him. She felt bad about saying he was a pain earlier and so him and Merna were a good match. She had never meant it, actually she didn't want them to marry at all! She never told anyone this but she had been wishing he would come to senses on his own.

The pool boy she had been pretending to be interested in was just to distract her broken heart. She didn't want to make it too obvios she was sad.

Lucky Sam had found a reason to break them up and as soon as she had, she was ready to save him from Merna's clutches! It made her happy she was the one who had saved Jer's life in the end, by saving him from the waterfall. She knew why she felt all this; why she didn't like seeing Jer in pain, why she didn't really want him to be with Merna forever, and why she was here now.

She had known for some time now and she thought maybe now was a nice time to start showing it.

Taking a breath then another to make up her mind she felt her heart go up and a soft, rosy blush come on her face. When she walked to where he was, she made sure it was gone by then.

"Oh don't worry, Jerry." She smiled and gave his arm a gentle squeeze. "Forget about her! One day you will find the right girl for you."

"Thank you Alexandra, that does make me feel a little bit better," Jerry said laughing a little now. She was right, even if he was getting a little old now, maybe love would find him? Who knew?

Alex's next move slightly shocked Jerry and made his heartbeat go up as she came closer to him. She put her head on his shoulder and gave him a quiet whisper. "I am here for you Jerry." Her gentle touch on his arm moved down and she joined her fingers with his, now squeezing his hand in a loving way, stroking the fingers.

"Always."
