Crossing the Line
They knew it was going to happen sooner or later. They had been dancing about each other the entire last school year, since Harry had gone back to finish his education.
Now, he was standing on the small stoop of a row house hoping that Snape would agree that sooner was better than later. The door opened as the echo of his knock faded.
"Potter." Snape just watched the younger man, wondering if this was what he was hoping for.
"Snape." Harry waited to be invited in. Snape had implied that he would be once he had graduated.

During the school year, Potter had graced his office, seeking solace from his memories. Severus had been his 'go to' person, as he had been for many of the Slytherins. From those meetings, understanding, respect, and the need to be with the other had built. Severus had watched the professional line carefully, making sure that they didn't cross it. They could now.
Severus stepped back, allowing Potter entrance to his house. As soon as both were inside, he gave a small smile. "It is Severus, now."
Harry smiled broadly while he answered, "I'm Harry then."
