"How did parseltongue become known as parseltongue?" Harry pulled the covers closer to his chin. He felt Severus shift beside him.
Severus rolled over and peered at the man curled at his side. "Where did that come from?"
"I was thinking of the parcel that was delivered this morning. That led to trying to figure out what parsel meant. It doesn't mean snake or anything that I can think of."
"I have no idea, either. The name came long before the Founders' time." He trailed a finger over Harry's faded scar. "Do you miss it?"
"No."
