Forgive Me
(Part 1)
Trowa leaned back on the willow tree over-looking the lake. He sighed. Things just hadn't been the same after she'd left. Even though she'd left almost four years ago. He remembered the good times he'd spent with her, walking hand in hand around the lake, swimming, boating and then 'that'... Quatre came walking up and sat down next him. "Hi Trowa..." He said rather glum.
"Hi." Was Trowa's just as equal glum reply. There was silence between the two of them. Suddenly Trowa spoke up. "Thinking about Sarafu?"
"Yeah..." He sighed, staring into the middle of the lake. More silence. "It's been almost eight months since I've heard anything about her..."
"Well at least it hasn't been three and a half years." Trowa thought. "Don't worry I'm sure she's fine." He reassured.
"I know she is... I just want to hear her voice, see her face, see her smile.."
"Me too.." Trowa thought. "Where's everyone else?"
"Wufei's with.. well I don't know who's he's with and Heero's being a work-acholic."
"What about Duo?"
"Sleeping."
"Figures."
"What about me?" Duo said walking happily towards them. Braid swishing behind him. No answer. "Well just in case you're wondering, which I'm sure you are. I'm happy because I just had a really good dream about my baby, Suatshi.. oh yeah and I had a really good lunch." Again, no answer "Fine then..." He paused and sat down beside the two. The three of them sat in silence for a while.
"Telegram." A voice from behind announced. Duo and Quatre were the first to turn around.
"Is it from Sarafu?"
"Is it from Sutashi?" (Duo hadn't heard from Sutashi for about 10 months)
"For you." Heero said handing the paper to Duo.
"HA!" Duo cheered. Quatre glared at Duo. Duo quickly opened the letter and began reading it. His face froze.
"What's wrong?" Asked Quatre.
"What, is she dead?" Heero asked sarcastically.
"Sutashi's.. she's... COMING HOME!!!" He cheered jumping up in the air. "WHOO-HOOO!!!"
"I thought it was something serious.." Quatre sighed. Heero rolled his eyes.
"MY BABY'S COMING HOME! WHOO-HOO!" Duo started jumping up and down like a maniac. "Sutashi's coming home, Sutashi's coming home." He started singing in a conga like rythym as he walked (or danced) back to the house. Quatre sighed and followed him. Heero just have Duo the "You're acting like an idiot look." But said nothing and he too walked back to the main house. Trowa he just sat there and stared at the lake. He'd learned not to expect things anymore. He had no reason to, after all, she was gone.
