Summary: The Doctors thoughts and feelings on Amy.

A Cool And Suave, Bow-Tie Wearing Idiot.

12 years. He had been 12 years too late. And then another 2 years. So in all he had been gone for 14 years. 14 years she had all alone in that big old house with too many rooms. 14 years, thats a long time since Fish Custard.

So you can imagine he was afraid of rejection. Good thing there was no need for it, because she went with him anyway. His Amy.

Yes he loved her, quite a lot actually. Now he may be a 908 year old bow-tie wearing alien, and counting, but even he knew the meaning of cool. And going into all of that soppy romance stuff, was definitely an example of. Not. Cool. It wasn't suave, and if he was anything it was suave. Sometimes.

Now he wasn't stupid, he knew that she wouldn't last forever. But he just couldn't find it in himself to take her home. She was just so amazing. He also knew that she had feelings of some sort for him, she just wasn't completely sure yet. Oh, did he mention, she bought him a fez for christmas. That is christmas in the TARDIS. They had landed somewhere on Earth, and when they went outside in hope for snow, they found it was easter.

Did he mention she was considerate. They had gone to some planet, that he could never remember the name of, and he had gotten drunk. He distinctly remembers coming onto Amy back at the TARDIS, and instead of just giving in and letting him drag her to his bedroom, she put him to bed, and stayed until he fell asleep. Something he was extremely grateful for the next day. I mean its not that he didn't want to its just, if anything more than a friendships going to occur between him and Amy, he wants to be able to remember it. It wouldn't be in his favor to be inebriated.

He was cool, and he could be somewhat suave when he wanted to be and he was completely in love with Amelia Jessica Pond, but he could wait for her to figure out her feelings on her own, and when she did he would be there. Waiting patiently.

That is if his curiosity didn't win him over.

Again.
