AN: Hey, this is my first fanfic, so please be nice! If there's any way I can improve, tell me in the comments. Thanks, and hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't even own the whole series yet, what makes you think I own Harry Potter? Anything you recognize isn't mine.
the whisper of glass on metal
a (girl) curled up
on the wide, wet, weathered, windowsill
[did you see what she did there]
{steps, pitter, patter, the same rhythm as the rain}
|the worst five words ever spoken|
-i don't love you anymore-
sobs
first silent and gentle, with her head in her knees
and then
-i'm sorry, i wish it could have ended better-
she knows he's lying
loud, chest-wracking
weeping/sobbing/crying/tears
+he walks away, away from her and what was and could have been after two whole long years+
seconds/minutes/hours pass
and no one comes to find her
as usual
she wonders, always had
is it worth it?
finally
someone walks toward her
she tells him to 'piss off'
but that's just because she'd know those steps anywhere
they're enemies, you see
she wishes that could change
him with his legions of followers and teachers lapping out of his hand
even though he's a MALFOY
and she's a WEASLEY
the most un-noticed of the lot
nerdy, tiny, frizzy-haired, buckteethed ROSE, with too many freckles to count
she thinks the only true things are that she's smart and small,
but that doesn't mean she's ugly
yeah, she has freckles, but not that many
if she cared, it would be beautiful
she doesn't have buckteeth, actually
just a stereotype, because they think that she got everything from her mum, but she didn't
they're so wrong
he breaks her out of her thoughts
"why are you crying?"
he asks her
"none of your bloody business, you wanker,"
is she wants to say
but she knows he's only trying to help, so she tells him what happened
she jerks, surprised
when he sits next to her and hugs her like he cares
and lifts her head up to \swipe\ the tears away
she wants to ask him why he's helping her, but her voice is stuck in her throat
so all she can do is put her legs down and lean against him
because he's pulled her flush to his chest
and it feels so good, like they were made for each other
but they shouldn't be doing it because they're
/enemies/
and you don't
love/cuddle/hug
your enemies
but isn't that the point?
you have to know your enemy to beat them and you'll probably start !loving them!
?just like the hero in that Muggle book said?
because why not?
and she feels
so much better
and it feels so right
so maybe, just maybe
things will be better
and .l.o.v.e. isn't just a passing flight of fancy [after all].
How'd you like it? Love it? Hate it? Tell me anything in the nice little review box below! Thanks!
