Oh, you fancy, huh?

Oh, you fancy, huh?

Nails done,

hair done,

everything did!

"Come now, Darren. We must get you some new clothes to wear."

"No, not yet, Mr. Crepsley!" I begged. "Can we wait a little bit longer?"

"Do not be ridiculous, Darren. We should have gotten you new clothes sooner," he grunted.

"But I… I need to wear it," I argued. "It's important."

He cocked an eyebrow. "Is this about that human girl you met?"

My cheeks went red. I could feel them burning. "N-no…"

But it was true. He caught me. A few nights ago, I met this girl named Marissa. She was amazing! She had black hair like mine that reached her shoulders, thick black glasses, black booty shorts and an Adventure Time t-shirt. She was so cute! I knew that she liked fancy things so I didn't want to replace my old suit. I was afraid that she wouldn't like me as much if I wore something else.

"I know that this is about that girl. Do not worry. If she truly has feelings for you, then she will not mind if you are wearing something different," he explained.

I groaned out loud but reluctantly followed him to Truska's tent.

A few minutes later, I came out wearing a pirate-looking outfit. It was all different colors—red, blue, gold, purple. It looked really good on me. It was a puffy shirt with those baggy, gypsy looking pants, a sash and some pointed shoes. It looked great!

Now it was the moment of truth.

"Um, hi Marissa…" I said, trying to sound casual.

"Hey!" she exclaimed. "Whoa! What are you wearing?" she asked.

I looked down at my outfit. "I had to replace my suit," I said softly.

"It looks great!" she said enthusiastically. "I love it!"

"Really?" I asked in disbelief. "I thought you liked the suit."

"Yeah, it was fancy," she said. "I like fancy things. But now, you look like a fancy pirate!"

My eyes lit up.

Looks like my old vampire mentor knew about girls after all.
