Hey! This story randomly came to me while laying down. Most people that know me know that I LOVE Mark Ruffalo, especially his portrayal as Dr. Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Avengers films. This is a quick one shot, but I hope you enjoy!

"Next stop, the London pier. Please watch your step, and watch for the automatic doors. Watch your step. Now boarding."

Dr. Banner blinked himself awake. He shook his head, trying to gain his composure. He hadn't had the slightest clue how long he was asleep on the trolley, but he knew it had to be awhile for him to now be in London, England. It's been a ride, no pun intended. After his last mission, he quietly removed himself. He didn't believe in goodbyes. He felt with goodbyes, there was room for a return. For another hello, another welcome, and he believed in bowing out gracefully.

He had a sudden thought to rummage through his pocket, fishing for the keepsake he retrieved before he left. Smiling to himself, he thumbed over the portrait of his comrades. He didn't know how to describe them, honestly. War buddies? Fighters together in peace? Or was it family?

Family.

The older gentleman didn't know much of the word before he met them. But in ways, he was taught by them. Through the good, horrible, and beautiful times, he finally knew what the word meant. He was no longer this abomination he believed himself to be. He was a backbone, a force, someone meant to great things with the once believed horrible part of him that disgusted him. He began to realized he was someone capable of bringing a good to the world that not many could.

Cleaning his glasses, he turned swiftly, watching families pile off the trolley one by one. Laughing faces, giggling, talks of the night's plan, and so much more. He didn't know where he was going. But he did know where he came from. He knew that disappearing didn't mean the end. It was a beginning. Hulk got his happy ending, he got to use his inhuman strength for a beautiful thing. He changed the world alongside five brave, capable human beings. He gets to ride off in the sunset with his soul intact.

Now Bruce Banner could do the same.
