"Thanks." I mumbled quietly to the stranger as he closed the car door behind me. I watched him walk around the front of the car and open the driver's door.
"Where to sunshine?" he asked as he jumped in, flashing me a smile. "I asked where to." he spat, slamming the door behind him.
Noticing his abrupt change of mood, I turned to face him, staring straight into his eyes. "Uh uhm, Jefferson and hill please." he relaxed then, nodding.
I was so exhausted, all I wanted was to sleep and forget everyone and everything that had happened the past year. I was finally going home.
February 2015
"ABIGAL ROSE TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE" the loudspeaker tumbled down the halls. Sighing, I pushed my locker closed and made my way down the halls to my next class. Curious as to what she'd done now, I rummaged through the contents of my bag looking for my phone. Swiping it open I texted Abigal.
'What have you done bad girl haha. Meet after 5th period? - Beth'
She replied almost instantly.
'Long story, talk later. - Ab'
Smiling to myself, I clicked the phone shut, throwing it back into my bag. Abigal was always one to stick to the rules, so someone must've pushed her buttons.
Before I had the chance to think about anything else, I felt two arms slide around my waist. I knew exactly who it was.
Turning around I smiled half-heartedly up at Chaz. "Hey"
"Hey beautiful" he said, before placing a kiss on my forehead. "Where have you been lately? We haven't had a chance to talk properly.. Since, you know what happened." he looked around awkwardly, avoiding my gaze.
"I gotta get to class, talk to you later' I whispered, wriggling out of his grip.
"Bitch." I heard him mumble as I walked away.

As soon as the bell rang, I headed for the doors without glancing back. I needed to talk to Abigal and find out what was going on with her.
Everything was getting on top of me today, especially Chaz. Ever since things between me and him got heated, I've been avoiding him. Not wanting to talk. And that's how I wanted it to stay.
But how can it, if everywhere I go here's there? I asked myself. Sighing for the millionth time today, I stalked ahead.
Before I knew it, I'd reached the wilting willow tree me and Abigal always met at. Without hesitating, I took my light washed denim jean jacket from my arms, laying it on the grass before perching myself on top, crossing my legs.
Where is she? I thought to myself impatiently, continuing to stare ahead at the beautiful pink sky.
Half an hour later with dusk settling in, there was no sign of Abigal. Irritated, I picked my jacket up off the floor and made my way to the parking lot. I contemplated whether or not I should call her up; demanding why she'd ditched me. Thumbing around my jackets pockets for my iPhone, I froze.
"No, I said no."
My heart skipped a beat. No scrap that, I almost had a heart attack.
"Cut the crap Abigal god dammit," The oh so familiar voice spat. "I told you; tonight."
Turning around, I saw him. I saw my brother, his hand gripping onto Abigals arm tightly. Perspiration dripping down his face.
"No Jason," Abigal stood her ground. "I can't and I won't. I can't have her knowing. I don't want to do this anymore Jason. Please just leave me alone." Turning to walk away, he tightened his grip on her.
"Sorry babe. But once you're in, you're in for life." He smirked before taking her hand behind her back and slamming her head against the car bonnet. "I won't have you fuck me over Abigal. Now get in the car."
I fought every urge to run over to her because something inside of me was telling me not to.
Instead, I watched dumbfounded as Jason pushed her into the black BMW before slamming the door closed and making his way to the driver's side, doing the same.
My still racing, I ran to my car in uttermost panic. Shaking with shock, I managed to find my keys and open the car. Crashing down onto the seat, I let out a breath I never knew I'd been holding in.
Without a second thought, I revved up the engine, determined, and prepared to follow the pair of them to wherever the hell they were going no matter the consequences.
