Sergeant Benson was packing up her things and ready to head home for the night when there was a knock on her office door. "Come in". She said not looking up to see the person who entered.
"Hey Liv. We're all going out for drinks tonight and wanted to know if you wanted to come too". Nick said as he approached her.
"Umm, I don't think so Nick. I really just want to get home and into bed." She answered him honestly.
"Aww come on Liv. Just one drink at least". Fin said as he entered the room and joined the conversation. He knew about her break up with David and he was hoping she would find someone else and get over him even though he was sure she was already him.
"Yeah. We all deserve one drink". Amanda said joining in too. She then looked annoyed as she saw that the new guy was following her.
"Okay guys. One drink". She said in an exasperated tone.
"My first successful case with you guys. We should go home and change and then go out for drinks." Carisi said excitedly while Amanda just rolled her eyes. She knew that he was right because they just closed a stressful case with IAB and Dodds breathing down their necks so they all deserved a night out.
"He's right guys. It's now 6:00 so let's get home and changed and meet at Omailey's bar around 7:30?" Fin asked making sure everyone was okay with the time.
"Im down with that". Carisi said as it looked like he couldn't stop moving with excitement.
"Im game". Nick said in a regular tone.
"Yeah. I'm there." Amanda said in a tone matching Nick's. It was now time for Olivia to agree so as she made her way to her door wit's her bag while gesturing for everyone to leave she answered.
"See you guys there". She said as she left.
When she got outside, she decided to take a walk. She knew she should go me to change but she wanted a breath of fresh air. Her home was close by anyway. She passed a couple of places where people greeted her because she was well known to the areas. Before she knew it, she was at home. When she looked at the time, she gasped. She hadn't realized it would take her an hour to get home but then again she was walking slowly.
She jumped into the shower and let the warm water run down her body. As it cascaded down her body, she started thinking about her life. She was a forty year old woman with no kids and hadn't ever been married. 'How did I let my life get to this point'. She thought to herself. When she was done in the bathroom, she went to her bedroom to put on her clothes.
She felt like she wanted to fell good about herself so she put on a lacy thong and a matching lacy bra. She then put on a nice dark jeans and a dark green low V-neck shirt. She then went to her closet and put on a nice high heel shoe which was the same colour as her shirt. She curled her hair, did her makeup and put on some nice gold earrings which completed her look.
She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. Her cellphone then started ringing and she hoped it wasn't work. She looked at her screen to see that it was Fin so she answered.
"Hey Fin." Olivia said as she grabbed her purse.
"Hey Liv. Are you still coming. All of us are here. We're just waitin on you babygirl".
"Yeah. I'm coming. I'm almost there". Olivia said as she rushed out her front door.
She caught a cab at Omailey's and paid the driver and left. When she entered the bar she looked around and found her friends at a table which was situated at the back. When she went over she seen that they waited on her and hadn't ordered anything yet.
"Ooooooolivia". Nick said as he stood up to look at her with a big smile on his. She then knew that she wasn't too overdressed seeing all the men in nice suits and Amanda in a beautiful dress. She wasn't gay but she thought Amanda looked gorgeous. If only she knew what Amanda was thinking herself.
"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late but you didn't have to wait for me to start". Liv said as she sat down, sliding over so Nick could sit in too.
"Yeah we had to wait. You look beautiful Liv". Fin said as he called for the waiter. Both Amanda, Nick and Carisi agreed with him while Olivia returned the compliment back to them.
When the waitress arrived, she took their orders and left. They were all making small talk, avoiding the topic 'work' and having a great time.
"So Liv, thinking about getting some tonight." Nick asked Liv with a sly grin on her face.
"Im going to use the restroom". Olivia said as she ignored Nick's question.
"I'll join you". Amanda said as both of them got up and left the gang. When thy got in the restroom they both just stood around finding the interior very interesting.
"Look, we both know that we both didn't NEED to use the bathroom ". Amanda said as she looks at Olivia.
"I know". Liv said simply. They then both turned toward the mirror and 'fixed' themselves even though they were already gorgeous.
"Done?" Amanda asked as she was done 'using' the restroom.
"Done." Olivia agreed as they both walked out of the restroom. As they were walking back to their table, Olivia was stopped by a hand on her arm. She was ready to turn around and beat up the person who thought they had the right to put their hands on her until she heard a familiar voice say her name.
"Olivia". The man asked making sure this was te right person. Olivia didnt have to turn around to know who it was. She watched as Amanda left to go to the table the guys were at .
When she turned around she put a fake smile on her face. "Dean". She said as he smiled at her.
"How have you been Liv?" He asked very intrigued.
"good". Olivia said. He noticed that all her answers were short and he knew he had to apologize for the way they ended things.
"Olivia, listen. I'm sorry for the way things went but I can't take it back. I would if I could though". He said hoping she would accept his apology.
"Okay". She said and left.
'Just like that'? Dean thought in his head. He was confused and he needed to explain himself to her.
"Hey Amanda. Where's Liv?" Fin asked as only one of the women returned to the table.
"She was right behind me". Amanda said as they all turned to find Olivia talking with a guy.
"Looks like Liv found a man". Nick said as they all noticed how close they were. Fin knew who it was but didn't say a word because he knew Olivia wasn't an outward person. She didn't like it when everyone knew her buisness.
"He's hot too". Amanda said and all six eyes were on her. "What. He is". She said trying to defend herself.
When they all saw Liv coming toward the table, they pretended as if nothing happened and so did she. When she got to the table and Nick let her in, she took a swig of her beer and made small talk with everyone.
On the other side of the bar was Dean and his brother Mitchel.
"She's hot". Was all his brother said as he told him the story of how things ended with him and Olivia.
"Yeah. I know". Dean said a little depressed. his brother could sense his sadness because he was a little before he left the table.
"Why don't you buy her a drink." He said to his younger brother. Dean perked up at the suggestion.
"Yeah. Thanks bro". He said as he got up and went to the bar and ordered a very special drink for Olivia. It was a Hawian margarita and on top of the drink had bits of strawberries with the word 'OLIVIA' spelt out. He called for a waitress and asked her to give it to Olivia for him and gave her a tip.
Olivia and the crew were all having fun and laughing together, even Barba who had joined them a while ago when the waitress came with the drink.
"Hey pretty lady. This is for you. The guy over there sent it". The waitress said as she pointed at a smiling Dean and gave Olivia the drink. They all saw that the drink had her name inside and knew that this guy must have known Olivia previously. Olivia was a little happy when she saw that she got a drink but was a little angry when she saw it was from Dean. She had really liked him but the way he treated her showed her that he didn't care about her.
"Send it back to him". Olivia said as she gave the waitress the drink back. Not one to argue with the guests, especially the hot ones she left with the drink. No one dared to talk about it.
When Dean saw that she turned down the drink he was highly disappointed. 'It's going to take more than one drink'. He thought to himself. When the waitress explained what happened and rest the drink in front of him, Dean sighed and just started at Olivia's name in the drink and decided that he really wanted her and he was going to go to extreme lengths to get her.
I don't what it is but I really liked Liv and Dean together so here it is. Tell me what you think!
