I never thought it would end this way, with him on one side and me on the other. I thought it would be sudden, like so many other soldiers lives we've seen taken. This is wrong. He shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be here. For the first time I regret ever learning about the Tok'ra. No one should have to look the man they love in the eye, both of you knowing you're going to die and be able to do nothing. You shouldn't have to see the pain and shock in his eyes when he realizes there is nothing that can break the wall between you. The moment he knows, really knows that you will die. The only thing you can be grateful for is that he will be the last person you see. You will die with his image imprinted on you forever.
